Why can't I get Transmit to login to S3?
I can use other S3 clients to login to S3, but when I use Transmit, it acts like the credentials aren't valid. Any ideas?

Inappropriate?Hi Brian,
What's the exact wording of the error message from Transmit? -
Inappropriate?"User name or password not accepted by server." I'm using the same User ID and Secret Key on jets3t right now.
-
Inappropriate?I was able to successfully connect to S3 just now, using Transmit 3.6.4.
I’m wondering, could it be something with the account?
-
Inappropriate?Silly question, but you have the Access Key ID in the "User Name" field and the Secret Access Key in the "Password" field? (Rather than the other way around?)
Could it be a case-sensitivity issue?
There isn't any problem that I'm aware of with S3 logins in 3.6.4. -
Inappropriate?I'm having exactly the same problem. My S3 account is working fine in every other application I have but for some reason Transmit will not work giving the error message "User name or password not accepted by server".
Could it be something to do with the fact that I am using the European version of S3?
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate? Is your computer's time and date set properly? Mine was a couple days off and transmit wasn't working. When I set my date to the correct time and I was able to login no problem.

Inappropriate?Hi,
Yes sorry should have posted back here. Panic came back to me by email and its all sorted, it was actually due to a rouge character that was getting picked up when cutting and pasting my Secret Key from Amazon into Transmit.
All sorted now thanks :)
I’m happy

Oh yes and the solution was to paste the key into Textmate or similar before copying again into Transmit
