Miro Causes Computer to Crash

Hello everyone. I've been using Miro since it was called Democracy Player. I've loved Miro as it provided a great way for me to watch podcasts. Anyway, about a month ago, I had reinstalled Windows on my computer so I had to reinstall Miro too. After I reinstalled Miro I noticed though that if I pause a video and go on to preform other tasks, after a while my computer will crash. The screen will go blank and try to come back on but it usually fails and shuts down. Other times my computer will display the infamous Blue Screen of Death and then shutdown. I've never had this issue before now. I tried reinstalling Windows again thinking that would help but the problem still occurs. I have an HP Pavilion DV6636NR with Windows Vista Home Premium and an NVIDIA GeForce 7150M graphics card. I have the latest driver installed for my graphics card and all the latest patches for my OS. This problem doesn't occur with any other video playing program (VLC, iTunes, etc.) but then again I use Miro the most. If anyone has a solution to my problem I would be eternally grateful if you'd help me.

P.S. I've also used Miro on Linux Ubuntu (8.04 and 8.10) with the same computer and I haven't experienced the problem on there.
