Top features I would love to see...
Just my ideas that i have thought about messing around in pathable.. great product guys.. just some suggestions.
1.) Option in the control panel to make the default email setting to be daily digest. Even if people login, and select individual emails, the very nature of this system screams listserv email overload. I would rather they got them in a daily digest by default. It would also encourage those that haven't been back to the site to glance over the topics and get involved without getting too many emails. I would like to get sponsors and exhibitors on here..but I can see the complaints already (even for those that logged in that they want individual emails) that they never expected so many.
2.) Some kind of integrated polling feature. i know I can use discussions, but it would be great to have a quick participation tool.
3.) Import schedules for them. The less they have to do -- the easier i am going to have to sell participation. (this might be an option already... just not sure yet)
4.) Drop down the Recent Conversations section and add a short paragraph area that the Host can edit to update the group on new conference updates. or even better -- let me pin a conversation to the top of recent conversations?
5.) A simple youtube video for people to watch that explains how easy it is to use the program...similar to your promo video.
Options.. that may exist.. just couldn't find details.
6. Tags should have discussions linked to them, i click a tag I see the discussions being had around the Tag and the people in it.
7.) Link Wiki pages to Tags.
8.) Allow me to rename the Wiki tab. This suggestion will likely become obsolete in a couple of years... but people are scared of wiki's - not really sure what they are... I would love to call it General Information and would love to be able to make certain pages editable and certain pages locked down to hosts. Like I can see making a parking page, or insert an hotel layout map.. but why would my attendees need to edit that?

Inappropriate?Great suggestions. Some of these are in the works, watch for them.
A couple questions:
- Polling: Would you prefer a "widget on the event home page" or "allow anyone to embed a poll in a discussion message"?
- Import schedule: Do you mean have us import schedules for hosts, or does this have something to with importing attendee's schedules? Where are those schedules now?

Inappropriate?Would it be greedy to request both? I meant in my suggestion for a widget I could use to poll the group quickly... hey I have a built in focus group on there...and when they don't have to go on record you get a better polling result. However, when I read your question - I thought how cool would that be for a discussion to throw a poll in.
As for Schedules, I mean if I am making them select their schedules in Regonline (or any other online registration system) it would be great to just merge that info into your fields so they don't have to do it again.
One of my biggest complaints with these programs was the need for duplicate entry. I am going to the affordable meetings conference in Chicago next week and they sent me an invite to a different product. I spent (because I am a tech freak) the time to re-enter my information so that supposedly the software would work. But even I stopped at re-entering my schedule.. just not that important to me.. however it just seems like any networking software would benefit if my schedule was there.
As you guys already figured out - I am a big fan of my customers coming in and participating - not doing data entry. I think you only have so much time to convince them a product is going to be a ROI for them and any hurdle you put in front of them is likely to lead to a lack of involvement.
This might not be possible as I just ran a (EVERY FIELD) report in regonline and downloaded it -- but the schedule fields dont show up. I sent a tech support request in to see if it is possible.. I am curious as to the field output to see if I could just match that up in pathable fields for schedule.

Inappropriate?Ok.. so it is in Regonline -- I didn't see in the custom report section there is a selection tab to view additional fields to download.
So my question is -- if the values in Regonline match the values I give you int he excel schedule -- is that something that can be mapped into thier profile -- like name and company?
