Pages in my folders have disappeared!

I have 2 folders in my wiki. I created a page for each student in the folders and the kids have a lot of content on their pages. Today suddenly, when I choose the folder, the pages have all disappeared. Instead of going to the page, it asks me to create a new page. If I say "yes" then it tells me that page already exists and it provides a link to click it. BUT if I do it starts the "create a new page" loop all over again. Have I lost my pages forever? Please help because my students will be so sad if everything is gone for good!
