Copy a page from one file to anotherIt would be great to copy a page from one file to another along with all of it's layers, frames and other organization that doesn't get preserved with copy-and-paste.
This would be incredibly helpful to me!!

What if I like a song for its sound, but not its lyrics?how does thumbs-downing a song that has depressing lyrics but beautiful music affect my station? Are some songs with especially depressing content tagged as such in the music genome project?-

pixelperfect reported a problem in Pivotal Labs on July 07, 2009 22:55:
I can import csv into small projects but not my large project.i created a csv of stories... before importing all of them into my big project I tried with a little test project, they came in beautifully.
then i tried in our big project, fail
tried another small project, success
tried importing via a file to our big project (instead of pasting), fail
I'm frustrated, because I need to get my work into the project we actually use. I'm stubbornly trying to get it in there (to my big project) by trying all different ways. ..but why would it work for a small project but not the project I need it to work for?

may i suggest a preliminary implementation that is simply a drop-down with:
all
this month
last month
2009 only
2008 only
date range
selecting date range would give you two date fields to fill in
...you could get fancier with a timeline scrubber and some short-cuts like a stock chart, but really I just want last year... and fancy interfaces take a lot of clicks to use.
one feature that I would love the new design to have:
it would be nice if that the date range selection would persist as I search various transactions and categories for all the totals I need.

pixelperfect replied on June 24, 2009 18:00 to the question "How do I properly format my data w/out it being screwed with by the markup?" in Pivotal Labs:
wow... I don't have this problem (because I don't paste in markup) but if I did I'd be frustrated. I'm voting for it.
I imaging there a workaround similar to the process I use to share all of my design deliverables. *I never attach anything to a tracker story* (even though I'm one of the people you can blame for requesting the attachment feature). Instead, all of my reference materials live on a server that is easy to update Changing tracker stories every time i make a refinement is a lot of overhead that I don't have time for and version control is nice to have.
Maybe you guys could keep txt files in your repository then link to that file in your tracker story.
Workaround aside, I agree that there should be a way to quote code. There isn't?

I would like a more flexible import format (in addition to CSV)I really like authoring batches of stories in a spread sheet and then importing them to tracker. We've been finding this to be very productive. The only problem is that CSV is so limited. I would love a format that would let me write stories naturally with commas, double-quotes, periods and other punctuation.
Google spreadsheet and subEthaEdit are our preferred story writing apps.
