Fred Oliveira set one of Fred Oliveira's replies as an official response to "Goplan down times" in Goplan
Fred Oliveira replied on November 07, 2009 15:43 to the problem "Goplan down times" in Goplan:
Hi Thibaut,
We are unaware of any downtime at this point (and neither are the rest of our users) - in fact, our last moment of unavailability was several weeks ago for a quick server update. I believe this may be a problem on your end - what kind of message do you see on your browser?
As you may know, Goplan runs on a redundant architecture which makes it really (*really*) hard for the whole service to be down except for when it gets a system update from us. Please double check everything on your end, and rest assured that we're constantly monitoring everything to make sure that we keep our uptimes as stellar as they are right now.

Yay! Now *that* makes me happy. Good to know things are sorted. Sorry about all this stuff you went through, Jonathan. – Fred Oliveira, on October 28, 2009 19:13

A comment on the question "Please implement Textile in full!" in Goplan:
Haha, well, there's no direct implication. We were just removing any attributes that could be used by malicious javascript code (and removing the javascript too). I guess one could say we were over zealous with our security tightness and decided to remove everything we thought people wouldn't use :-) – Fred Oliveira, on October 27, 2009 18:39

Hey Jonathan,
You are absolutely right. For security measures, we were removing the id attributes from headlines - we didn't consider people who might make use of the anchor tag syntax from textile. Meaning, we do implement textile in full - we were just stripping a few details off that made using anchors impossible.
Thanks for pointing it out - this has just been fixed and should go live first thing tomorrow (we update our code in the morning in order not to affect as much people) - with the other typography stuff we talked about earlier.
As for previewing: it is definitely a more complex change, but one we're working on ;-)
A comment on the idea "More typographic hierarchy or control in discussion styling please" in Goplan:
We're already using max-width to constrict the discussions to 650px width. While it is still pushing the boundaries of readability (about 12 words would be perfect), I found it to be a good compromise. I'll have a second look and see if with a few font-size adjustments it can get a tad better.
I'll definitely improve the spacing on headings. Thanks again for the awesome feedback you've been sending in. Cheers! – Fred Oliveira, on October 27, 2009 17:13

Hey Jonathan,
You are absolutely right. I'm a typography addict myself and I know how frustrating the display of discussions is sometimes. We'll definitely improve it soon. We have a couple of ideas of our own, but if you feel inclined to send in suggestions, please do, we appreciate your thoughts.
Thanks!

Fred Oliveira replied on October 12, 2009 18:39 to the problem "Goplan Calendar doesn't work IE8" in Goplan:
Hey Kevin,
You were absolutely right - that particular piece of javascript wasn't working correctly with IE8. We just fixed the problem and deployed the new version of the code to the live servers, so everyone on IE8 should be good to go.
Thanks for the report and the patience in waiting for a solution!

Fred Oliveira replied on October 08, 2009 15:31 to the idea "A more useful todo list please!" in Goplan:
Hi! Good news!
Your first suggestion is implemented already - try dragging tasks up and down inside a category and you'll see that they're not only draggable, but that their position "sticks", effectively letting you prioritize items ;-)
The second suggestion doesn't exist, however. We have ways to filter by assignee, but have no way to list unassigned tasks at this point. It's easy to add, however, so I do see it coming very soon to Goplan.
Thanks for your suggestions!

Fred Oliveira replied on September 30, 2009 17:09 to the question "Is there any way to resend login credentials to a collaborator?" in Goplan:
This is a great point - at this point we have no link you can click to resend login credentials to a contributor. We don't have this mostly for security reasons: having such a link would mean storing everyone's passwords as plain text on our database, something we don't want to do in order to keep security as tight as possible. We could, however, have a "send a password reset email" link, although it would be less useful in the cases where the contributor knows his password and the company administrator thinks he doesn't. We'll definitely think about this issue.
Solving your problem is simpler, however. You can add a new contributor to the project and use your client's email. He'll get a new password to join the project on Goplan on his email account, and that should be it.
We hope to have you moving over to Goplan soon! Let me or the rest of our team know if you have any issues or need a hand. Cheers!
