I still think this is more complicated than it should be - surely providing a list of all unpaid invoices and allowing you to tick a box next to each one identifying which invoices have been paid by the client would be simpler and mean you don't have to start working out how much you're allocating against each item.?

Just found you guys from the Campaign Monitor blog... it's looking like a really nice app and just what I need!
The one thing I'd like to do is move a bug/issue into a 'pending approval' state. With a lot of my clients bugs, issues and new features for their systems all tend to get merged into one in their brains. Bugs I'll normally fix free of charge, but new features I'll quote and bounce back at them before I proceed to fix it. Understand I could assign the ticket back to the client, but I could also do this for other reasons too... i.e. just a quick question about something...
As a result of having this kind of status it would mean I would be able to see those tickets that are pending approval and/or have quotes associated with them...?

It'd be great if we could add our own categories - I'm sure lots of people may have their own little quirks depending on their business models. I'd like to be able to split out some of my online services for example - e.g. email newsletters at Campaign Monitor vs things like Freeagent which are quite different and I'd ideally like to be able to report on separately.

I think when you do estimates you may need to add a few more statuses to projects rather than just Active and Completed... some projects may just be Quoted For rather than Active and then you will need a status for projects that you never ended up doing... :(

That's a good question - hadn't even thought that far ahead :)
I think for me, definitely the per user feed would be very useful as it would allow me to quickly see what I've been working on each day (and try to account for those missing hours when I get distracted!!)

Obviously long term a two-way sync would be great too... with being able to add data directly on a day in Google Calendar would be great! Presumably, it would be something that could be written with a Google Calendar Gadget (http://code.google.com/apis/calendar/...) ? Having only just Googled for these myself I'm not sure of the limitations of this etc...

On the subject of calendars, it would be really nice to be able to see a calendar view of time spent on particular projects etc These guys: http://www.pipelineworks.com/tour.jsp while they don't seem to be anywhere as nearly good as you on some things seem to have a nice take on this...

I always thought you might need to do something else at your end (e.g. in MailBuild from Freshview you actually have to enable this feature in your account... they use a subdomain for each client in the same way too)

I think it would be better to add an extra field to disable a user if possible... you may have the situation where you want to temporarily exclude an employee from access - with just a tick box, they wouldn't need to remember a different password when re-enabled?!

Yeah that was cool thanks... I was just thinking of the whole being able to reorder the items on an invoice... when you've got a load of things on there and want to move something up the list for whatever reason its a pain at the moment!!
