Hello.
My name is John Chodacki and I work at Safari Books Online. I see you are having a problem starting a subscription with Safari Books Online.
Based on the info above, it seems our system is detecting a difference between the IP address and your location. This could be because of a proxy server issue or an error in our logic.
I can offer 2 options:
1. You can visit http://my.safaribooksonline.com/subsc... to start a subscription immediately.
2. You can visit the site from another local Indonesian network and start a trial at http://my.safaribooksonline.com.
If you still have an issue, please contact us at customer-service@safaribooksonline.com.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Yes. We got a Kindle DX last week and have been testing it. The Safari PDFs we have tested look great and our mobile site - m.safaribooksonline.com - looks great on the Kindle DX browser, too. For more info, there is an article about it on our Safari Books Online support portal. You can read it here: http://bit.ly/18nF4H

Android/G1 is not officially on the supported device list, but m.safaribooksonline.com works/looks great on it. Actually after iPhone/iPod Touch, it is Safari Books Online's second most used device for their mobile site.

john chodacki replied on February 16, 2009 19:10 to the question "Out of print - out of safari?" in O'Reilly Media:
There are no restrictions on out of print books within Safari Books Online. I just checked and this book is available. So you should be able to add to your bookshelf.
I am attaching a screenshot of http://my.safaribooksonline.com/15659... You can click on the "Add to my bookshelf" button on the right.
If you are not seeing this button, please contact customer-service@safaribooksonline.com They can look up your account and offer additional guidance.
A comment on the question "Is O'Reilly intentially deceiving potental Safari subscribers?" in O'Reilly Media:
Paul-
As I am sure you understand, it can be a difficult thing to pack all the benefits of a Safari subscription into one page. We do strive to be as concise as possible and we are always looking for new, better ways to describe the service. So, thank you for your comment. I does help to hear from subscribers & prospective subscribers.
Interestingly enough, we have just completed a round of user testing regarding the sign-up process and the product grid. As a result we will be tweaking our messaging and drafting a series of videos to help with any confusion.
If you are interested in discussing further, shoot me an email at chodacki@safaribooksonline.com. It is our intent to continue to improve our service and our relationship with the larger community. So it would be great to hear from you.
Thanks again for the feedback.

We apologize for the confusion. It was not intentional.
Safari Books Online offers many different features and it is difficult to convey the specifics within the comparison table. We try to include that level of detail in the "Free Trial Details" link below the table at http://safari.oreilly.com/promo and in our Knowledge Portal at http://support.safaribooksonline.com.
I agree more could be done up front to inform the user of how the token system works. Based on your feedback, I just edited the Free Trial Details description of Full Book Downloads.
Thank you for taking the time to contact us. I hope you enjoyed your Safari trial. If you would like to contact Safari's customer service team, please feel free to email us at customer-service@safaribooksonline.com.

By the time I finally got logged on, the date had passed. I would like to get the discount since I tried hard to get on by the date specified." in O'Reilly Media:
You can visit http://safari.oreilly.com/sendpassword to have a temporary password generated for you. If that does not solve the problem you are experiencing, please contact Safari Books Online customer service at customer-service@safaribooksonline.com and they will help you reset your password.
