Julian shared an idea in Get Satisfaction on April 28, 2008 23:31:
"These topics may help" could do with a close/stop/go away buttonWhile the "These topics may help:" thing on the start a topic page is a good idea, the complete lack of a close/stop button, it's disinterest in ever not continuing to update, as well as the yellow Ajax effect designed to make you aware of the fact something just got updated, makes it really distracting and annoying when you're typing. The ability to kill/neuter it in some way would be much appreciated.

Julian replied on April 21, 2008 17:03 to the question "New member email address already taken?" in Twitter:
As I'm not a Twitter employee I can't really tell you who is using your email address. Having said that, due to the wonder of the Gmail search thing, and the fact you just posted your email address on a public site (might want to edit it out before the spam bots notice), it seems your email is being used by http://twitter.com/Cedric22 , though until a Twitter employee can come to your aid, I still think resetting your password is probably your best option.
Although a minute after doing it I realised I probably shouldn't have since it crosses a weird line, I popped your email address into the password reset form on Twitter which is why you probably just got an email from them, sorry about that. Needless to say, you can ignore the email if you want.

Although I know you didn't sign up, have you tried using the reset password thingy?

Now unable to delete again, particularly annoying since you've still not got any kind of edit option.

It sounds like your wireless (?) connection is likely not working so great, if you hold Option/alt and click the Airport menu bar icon, it should tell you the transmit rate it's using, if it's pretty low that would probably explain the slowness, and I'd recommend perhaps moving your Time Capsule (if you can) so your computer gets a better signal.
You could also try turning Time Machine off in System Preferences, clicking the "Show Time Machine status in menu bar" box, then triggering a backup when you're not downloading lots of stuff via the menu bar icon.

Assuming that your MacBook isn't one of the ones that shipped with it's ventilation vent blocked by a bit of plastic, you might want to open Activity Monitor (Applications/Utilities), click the CPU column once or twice and see what's eating your processor.

Julian replied on March 27, 2008 01:30 to the problem "My iPhone battery drains too much overnight!" in Apple:
Have any of you set the iPhone to auto-check for new mail relatively often or installed any applications, especially ones that might run in the background? I've got push mail and WiFi turned on with it officially checking for new mail once an hour (officially because push mail shouldn't need to check in the same way), and leaving my iPhone asleep overnight hardly hits it's charge at all.
Julian replied on March 27, 2008 00:57 to the question "Shutting Down My Airport/Computer for Long Holiday" in Apple:
While I would assume that your Airport base station would remember your details even without power, you can always make a backup copy of your configuration using Airport Utility.
Open it (found it Applications/Utilities), select your base station, click Manual Setup, Save a Copy As on the File menu, and assuming you can remember your base station password, tick the box next to "Include passwords as encrypted data", pick somewhere you'll easily be able to find it, and click Save.
To restore from it, open Airport Utility, select your base station and click Open Configuration on the File menu and find the file you made earlier.
