Jim P,
Thanks for making contact. Development for our multi-currency invoicing is well underway but we don't expect to be handling multi-currency banking for a while. It's significantly harder and we need to do some more research into the most usable way of doing it.
Sorry if that's not the answer you wanted to hear just now.

I also need the ability to have a bank account that's in a different currency from my 'base' currency. For example, I have a UK bank account for my UK clients and a Danish bank account for my clients here in Denmark. I'm currently having to ignore the references to 'kr' (kroner) in my UK account in FreeAgent and pretend they're UK pounds. However, that messes up the profit and loss and other general accounting functions...

A comment on the problem "ability to record timesheets by the hour but invoice by day" in FreeAgent Central:
Hello there. I would like to request that when generating weekly/monthly timesheets, this can be done in days as well as/instead of hours. This is kinda linked to the topic previously. The reason is my client signs a separately generated timesheet which is an excel spreadsheet, which is just 1,1,1,1,1 = 5 days per week. He does not really care about the hours I do, although I like to see it so that I can record the actual hours I have worked. is there an easy fix for generating timesheets in days?
I'm wondering if there is a user-specified function can be added to the project details area, where the user can set the parameters for charging a half-day or full-day, ie.
Project to be recorded in days, hours or both (invoicing and timesheet)? Tick, Tick or Tick
If days, one half day shall constitute [insert] hours or less.
If days, one full day shall constitute [insert] hours or more.
Hope that makes sense and not too complicated. If it would be, is there any way of just having a function whereby I can print a timesheet out in days so that I don't have to generate another one?
Also, one last thing, I notice in the timesheet generation that the formatting is slightly out in the description of service? I don't think it is wrong, just maybe should look better if the description was 'justified' - just a suggestion.
Thanks!

Hi Ed, just to let you know I also have this requirement - although I invoice most clients in sterling in the UK, I have one client in Sweden who I invoice in SEK. They pay in SEK to my UK company bank account. The bank does the conversion and credits the sterling equivalent to the account.
It sounds like you'll have this sorted quite soon, so I'll hang on to my Swedish invoices until then!
Regards,
Tim

Dennis, sorry to hear you ran into issues. We can troubleshoot you're import issues and get that all sorted out. Unfortunately we currently do not offer seesmic support, however this is coming down the pipe. We've had tremendous success with wordpress blogs and imports. Please let me know if you'd like to give it another try. Cheers – Michael, on July 03, 2008 00:54

Hey,
I've been giving this some more thought.
The data that is displayed in the Invoice Payment Timeline graph is great, however it only goes back three months, and forward one. If you could present this information in some kind of table, but for all moths that data is available (both back and forward in time), it would pretty much cover what I'm after. I just want to be able to see how much I made in X month, and how much I've got coming in the next few months.
Of course, to calculate real income figures involves far more than just invoice values, but that's all I'm really interested in here.

@Tekin,
LOL, and mine are {ClientName}/{UniqueGlobalID}.
I don't think a solution will please everyone precisely (although a scripting engine would be wonderful if you can provide it), but I would have thought a global ID is more intuitive than client or project or invoice reference based numbering schemes.

In fairness to the lads, numbering systems are not the easiest thing in the world to get right and once you've settled on one, you're pretty much stuuck with it.
Trouble is there is no mandated method otherwise everyone's life would be simple, if less plesurable.
One way (sorry to add more ideas) is to have a strict sequential method but with tags added. Blinksale does that and it works effectively
