Hi Ben - thanks again. This turned out to be a single badly formed pledge that someone had made, that would cause this page and a few others where it appeared to not display. It's not fixed yet, but should be in the next update!

I'm sorry I've been a bit slow responding - we're expecting a baby any day. I'm working on the site when I get a spare minute here and there and basically working through what you and Ricky are sending through (amongst others)...

Today we have a couple of new menu items - Favorites and Commented. Favorites is obvious, Commented is a bit of a strange word but it's a list of any wish that you've commented on so you can keep track of conversations. I'll add an RSS feed to that soon too.

You can give karma on any user page below their photo, but perhaps I should have that on the right hand side on every wish page too?

The comments disappearing is just plain weird. I'm just going to set that to display _all_ comments on the page rather than having multi-page for now.

Direct messaging has a few pitfalls. Privacy vs reply via email is complicated. If you send a DM you'll want a record of it, which means a whole email-style system. Hence the delay... I'm on it but it's taking a while with the other issues.

What do you mean by "It's pretty clear that people aren't intuitively finding their way here." - I'm not sure I understand what you're referring to correctly.

Tagging would be so great if it could happen - maybe it needs to happen when you add the wish, or if you are logged in and there are no tags for a wish it just has an input box for it. Same with descriptions!

In the mean time while we try to get that going I've made you a 'moderator' so you can actually go and tag other people's wishes if you find ones you like. I hope you don't mind and don't think that's too presumptuous!

Anyway - it might be a while before I get back on here - thanks for your continued support, involvement and great feedback :-)

We now have favourites and longer list pages.

Also - you can turn the fancy editor on and off by editing your profile, and it's off by default for iphone users.

I've added Twitter, Blog and Tipjoy account details to user pages too after a few requests.

I've disabled facebook until I can actually get it working :/

Editing comments is feeling tricky but I'm sure we will make it happen soon!

Thanks - I'd noticed this too, as well as Canada being missing for no apparent reason. To be honest I'm thinking about just pulling this functionality out of the system and replacing it with "add your location" by typing in an address into a free text box (a city, town name, street name if you want) and it will then appear as a Google Map.

A few more updates on the metawishlist:

We now have Favorites, and if you go to your-username/favorites you can see a list.

Recent comments is now on the side, as is an aggregated feed.

Old Isowish data should disappear eventually but we'll probably add a better search engine.

Slow loading times will be improved soonish too!

Hi both - I'm working on this this morning. Thinking it's pretty essential to make some of the wishes happen. Would these be 'private' comments on wishes perhaps rather than a separate messaging system?

Hi Ricky, that's probably actually a little more difficult than opening up an API for the site, so that's what I've done today. Let's see what happens... :)

Thanks Anthony - it's a big task but definitely something to consider, thanks! We're making a long list of stuff that we want to do with the service. Stuff that can be fixed quickly we're just doing on the fly as and when we can, but bigger stuff like this will need some thought on how to make it happen. You might even like to lend us some advice?

This seems to be happening on any copy and paste action - almost like it's adding a blockquote automatically in the editor. Very odd! It's not something we put in on purpose so we'll fix it up once we work out why it's doing this.

This seems to happen on occasion, and I'm not sure why. Not the best, but I'm looking into it!
