Dear Chris,
in GetSatisfaction you can edit the message only after 15 minutes you posted it. BTW I requested to remove the email address. Hope they will answer soon (usually they're really fast). – Enrico Foschi, on August 28, 2008 19:19

Enrico Foschi started a conversation in Agglom on August 24, 2008 09:22:
Developing V2 of killer pain feature: Agglomerator V2 - discuss it with usAgglomerator v1 has been a real success. Users seem to love it and to use it for sharing browser session, organizing content and keep track of their browsing history. As well as this is the feature most used, let's improve it :)
Here we will discuss Agglomerator v2 main goals. Everybody would be more than welcome to join the conversation. Actually, users feedback has much more value than ours :)
From a user's point of view, main priorities of the V2 are:
- Save time
- Enjoy the experience of multi-session browsing (switch session rapidly inside the same browser)
- Save current session in 3 click (Agglom button -> Save Session -> Check details and save)
- Session may be auto - savable (browser crashing proof)
- Add one or multiple tabs to saved sessions
- Add one tabs with drag 'n drop
- Redirect users to Agglom interface as less as possible: transfer most of the process in the client browser
Multiple session browsing:
User should be able to manage different sessions at the same time and switch easily between them. I can't imagine an alternative than using the toolbar. User hates toolbars and likes Agglomerator because it is 1 simple button. Hany idea about this?
We can just keep the toolbar optional. Enabled by default, then users can easily disable it.
This is just the beginning. The development will begin soon and the release is planned in few weeks.
As well as we adopt Scrum / Agile methodologies, feedback and ideas may come during the middle of development process and are more than welcome. Users are our "customers" and have high-priorities on all the decisions :)
Thanks,
Enrico Foschi

Hi calling57. Cookie saving can be an improvements. We will investigate the feasibility.
Regarding the server session, the main difference is that:
- Cookie are stored on your computer
- Server session is a set of variables stored on the server (you aren't able to access them nor Firefox add-on)
Thanks for your feedback

Thanks Ronan, you are really so helpful to us!
Actually we tested it with:
http://www.agglom.com/agglom/62/BMW_G...
and, as you can see, there works fine.
We discovered that the issue is generated by the thumbnail feature (will be disabled until it won't be fixed).
The fix will be deployed this late evening.
Thanks for your always precious feedback!

Hi Ronan.
Actually what google does is through a Firefox plug-in. Javascript code executed in the Firefox plug-in has less security blocks than in the standard page (that's why we can't get information about all the opened tabs by a page in Agglom but we need an extension for that).
I think that calling57 was referring to the single page saved in Agglom: I guess he wanted to open the session (with cookie and server-session completely restored) simply clicking on the link saved in an Agglom page. Am I right?
Thanks,
Enrico

Hi calling58. Unfortunately Agglom (as any other website) can't access to cookies set by other domains for security purposes (otherwise every website could get your personal data that other domains store in your cookies).
By "Save your session" we talk about Session = series of opened tabs. If a page requires an authentication everytime you access, it has to be performed again.
Thanks,
Enrico Foschi
