I have a folder on an FTP server which houses thousands of files, and I need to delete it.

In UNIX I could just rm it by specifying the folder name and it would almost instantly disappear.

Using ExpanDrive, it's taking several minutes just to *count* the files for deletion. It is painfully slow. Isn't there any way for it to intelligently know that if I'm deleting the folder, it doesn't need to manually delete every single file -- just the enclosing folder would have the same effect?

After the first install, MacFUSE hung during its install. I force-quit it, tried ExpanDrive, and it wouldn't connect, so I tried installing MacFUSE manually (downloading it from the Google code web site), and ExpanDrive still won't let me connect to my FTP server. It shows the red dot but never connects.
