We are phasing out our participation from getsat. You probably have noticed we have removed getsat link from our contact page for a while now. Having said that, for the time being there are still valuable information here which some users might find useful. As time goes, they might become irrelevant in which we will consider closing our getsat page. Unfortunately good translation is not about quantity. We simply can't and won't allow everyone who aspires to be a Plurk translator to become one.

We have rejected some because of lack of linguistic qualification and we have stopped accepting translators for certain language because the current pool of translators is handling the task well. If we allow 2000 new translators everyday for a language, it will be chaotic and you get scenarios where good translators are fighting with 17, 18 years old teenagers who just want to be a translator to get the badge. – Alvin Woon, on May 20, 2009 14:25

I'm sorry but we have stopped accepting applications for Filipino language. We will notify you should we need new translator for that language in the future.

private plurk should not be broadcast to other networks at all. I just plurk a test plurk to all my friends and it didn't show in my twitter. Anyone has similar problem?

We understand. Like Peteris said, this is only being considered under special circumstances.

We have had complaints from Pinoy users all this while about inaccurate translations on the interface. We would like to improve on that but none of us speak pinoy so we can only trust the translators under such circumstances.

Sometimes we are lucky and we get new translators who translate 300 or 400 strings in a short amount of time, such is the case with demois. Depending on the situation, we would like to try some of these new translations and see whether it improves the situations. – Alvin Woon, on April 17, 2009 14:48
