Amy Muller replied on November 19, 2009 06:20 to the problem "Remembering my credentials when I log in." in Get Satisfaction:
Ok, this is an obvious question, but do you select the "remember me" box when you log in? And you're just logging in with a normal Get Satisfaction account? Not through one of the other identity systems?
You say it doesn't remember in Firefox. Have you tried with other browsers and it does work?
So what happens exactly? You come here, log in, post, leave. Then later you come back and you're logged out?
Sorry for all the questions, just trying to understand as much as I can about your situation.

Ok, a step further is good! :)
So now you need to make sure that the community name is the same as in your Get Satisfaction URL.
Example: for community “My Community” you reach the following url: http/getsatisfaction.com/communities/mycommunity. Thus, it should be in Salesforce “mycommunity” and not “My Community”.
I hope that solves it!

What I've been told is that it sounds like the access to Get Satisfaction hasn’t been done into salesforce for you yet. To do so, Setup->Security Controls->Remote site settings->New Remote Site and add http://api.getsatisfaction.com
It’s available in the Post Installation Guide.
Amy Muller replied on November 19, 2009 00:17 to the problem "FastPass skips login and goes straight to community" in Get Satisfaction:
Ah. Ok. That first screenshot is our Feedback Widget. It sounds like you've lost the javascript that pops that widget open. That widget is a different module than our FastPass log in. FastPass comes in to play when it's time for a user to log in.
When you have FastPass and a user is already logged in on your web site, they will be able to take an action in the GS community or post feedback via the feedback widget w/out having to log in separately to GS. If they're not logged in to your site or GS and they try to do either of those things, they will be prompted to log in via your site's log in, with the option of logging in with their GS account if they already have one or one of our other login options such as Facebook Connect, OpenID, etc.
Amy Muller replied on November 19, 2009 00:01 to the problem "FastPass skips login and goes straight to community" in Get Satisfaction:
Right -- that's when a user is trying to take an action, which is why I'm trying clarify the steps that you're taking. Because your topic title says "FastPass skips login and goes straight to community", I just want to understand if you are actually talking about someone trying take an action in the community or just that someone is visiting (viewing) the community.
I'll see if I can re-create the experience but maybe you could also post some screenshots of what you're experiencing?
Amy Muller replied on November 18, 2009 23:39 to the problem "FastPass skips login and goes straight to community" in Get Satisfaction:
Hi Stampe. You say that it navigates to the community without logging in but then what happens when a user tries to take an action in the community? Generally, log-in isn't required to navigate to a community, but it is to take an action. So if it's a user's first time and they weren't logged in on your site before navigating to your GS community, they won't be asked to log in until they try to post or click a "me too" action, etc.

Hi lisah. No wonder you've had problems. This is a really old topic and my reply above is no longer accurate. Woops! :) I'm going to archive this topic so it doesn't trip anyone else up. In the meantime, though, did you find your widgets? If not, you can find them here: http://www.givesatisfaction.com/fitzp... – Amy Muller, on November 16, 2009 23:35

The re-design on the User Dashboard is in the product roadmap queue but I don't think it's slated to be tackled until 2010. – Amy Muller, on November 16, 2009 23:28
