yes, you can easily change different appearance of the button in your Zemanta preferences.

However, we'd like to hear more about the problem you mention. We're not aware that we are breaking any multi-column layout. We'd very much like to know where that happens so we can try to fix it! More data welcome!

Which browser are you using, are you using Zemanta browser extension or server-side plug-in?

Did it work before and stopped, or is this the first time you are trying to use Zemanta?

We'll try hard to fix this and with a bit of help from your side I am sure we'll succeed!
