Hi Ferrai, just to make sure you're looking in the right place, when you open up the exported movie in iMovie you should see a dropdown in the control strip along the bottom with all the chapter markers in. If you're not getting that, let me know and we'll look into it.

Hi Paulo, we've got a small number of people reporting the same problem as you, and we're currently looking at the problem. Unfortunately we've not been able to replicate the problem so it's proving quite tricky to fix. It would be really helpful if you could send the session files over so we can see if they crash any of the machines here. We will of course pay for the cost of transferring the files over. Theoretically you should be able to use any microphones that hook in to the basic input/output mechanism of OS X. I've personally tested it using our Samson C01U and it worked fine. However you may want to use a slightly more discreet microphone for usability testing

Agreed. It's something we've got planned, but it's actually a lot harder to implement than you'd expect, so it won't be in there until a later release.

We've tested it with a couple of external mics and it's worked fine for us. However I'd recommend testing it with your mic in advance just to make sure.

That's an excellent suggestion and one that's already on our roadmap for a future release. So thanks for confirming that it's a feature people would use and appreciate.

Quicktime is a native Mac format but it's not solely restricted to the Mac. As such, most decent movie players on the PC will play QT format. However we'll definitely look at the possibility of exporting in other formats.

From our research it does appear that encoding typically takes 3-4 times the length of the clip, so Silverback is in line with other video applications.

In an early version of Silverback we actually showed a preview of the iSight video in the session panel. However during usability testing we discovered that it confused people into thinking only the iSight video would get exported, so we dropped it.

We currently looking into the feasibility of previewing the results in the app, but this feature won't be out for a while. So in the interim, this is a useful 'hack'
