Ah crap... not gonna be here for the stress test!Alas $3 sushi roll happy hour talks precedence on monday nights...
Best of luck on the roll-out, though, and I'll be sure to check in on the new stuff later tonight. Let me know if you've got any t-shirts... uh... left over :P
A comment on the problem "Weird note skipping thing... they will randomly jump away from the concentric pattern." in Conduit Labs:
In some cases - including the video I posted - it wasn't so bad because it happened in the middle of a stream and the timing of the note could be very specifically determined.
The situation I hated was when there'd be a break - a few beats without any notes - followed by a big "jump" and more notes, so that there's no way to know when the next stream started. Made timing impossible, and completely guesswork. – ark, on March 08, 2009 23:35

I've been wondering this too as well. Before the latest version there was a scoreboard after every song along with the difficulty you were playing on, so there was some small sense of accomplishment attached to it.
I'm not sure what it does now, if anything... maybe the activity meter goes up faster or something?

Yeah, I get the same thing. The arrows lock up for a second or two (sometimes longer), and then I'm ambushed by a few seconds worth of "BRRRUMP" (you missed) sounds.
Frankly it's been happening so much I've begun to accept it as a "feature". I'd never fail a dance if it weren't for that!

Weird note skipping thing... they will randomly jump away from the concentric pattern.A bit hard to describe, so I made a quick video:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?doc...
On occasion the notes will "glitch" away from the nice concentric circle pattern. This tends to happen more on some songs than others, but I haven't thought to make a list. I can if that'd help.
Needless to say, makes it tough to stay on beat.

Just for my own curiosity: does the lag happen right when you start playing, or after you've been playing a while?
Because I find myself having to restart my browser if I play for more than 30-40 minutes at a time because the lag gets progressively more unbearable. It seems to still be a memory leaking issue, as it has been before.
Vista Ultimate 64, 4 GB of memory addressable.
The speed test is funny, though. Apparently I'm pulling 32 Mbps! Thanks, Comcast!
ark replied on January 10, 2009 01:05 to the idea "Even MORE closet space!" in Conduit Labs:
Would it be easier to just add a field to the closet called "Last Dropped"? It doesn't have to be a conscious choice by the player when it drops, but that way if they go to their closet at any time before the next time they win loot - probably during the next song if it's something they like - they can delete something else and choose to keep the "Last Dropped" item. Once the "Last Dropped" item is added to their closet, either at the time of drop or in the closet screen later on, the "last dropped" field is blanked.
ark replied on January 09, 2009 05:15 to the problem "lag and off-beat" in Conduit Labs:
Yeah, playing on 'crazy' I've noticed a lot of times I'll fail a few times and start thinking to myself "These arrows don't make any sense, they must be off beat!"
Then I nail the next run of them, and hear what it sounds like clicking on the keys, and go "Oooohhhhh.... so THAT's the rhythm they're going for."
Speaking of which... assist tick? Possibility?
Anyway, I'll agree the arrows don't always flow as well as they could, but they generally *are* on beat once you figure it out.
