You can use "Deep Zoom Composer" to create content for Seadragon: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/de...
This tool will also create sample Silverlight code for you to host in your website that showcases how to display a collection of Deep Zoom images :)

andreslmb says above that he has been running as an administrator, on Vista Home Basic SP1, against both IE7 and Firefox.
We are currently investigating this issue. One of our team members was able to “work around” the issue by deleting his temporary internet files and rebooting. Can you give it a try in the meantime?
Gracias!)

Did you run the installer as an administrator? This may solve the issue.
Otherwise, can you please provide more information regarding the OS and browser version you attempted the installation on. Thanks!
Gracias!)
Notes for linking/search: The error reported in the image above is 0x8007010B on the installation of the VC90 CRT, sometimes related to C:\Temp being missing.
Bea replied on December 22, 2008 23:15 to the idea "How about supporting different images at different zoom levels?" in Microsoft Live Labs:
For embedding higher res images you can do this with Deep Zoom Composer by placing the image with more detail on top of the lower detail one. This type of composition will create what we call a "sparse image". Not as nice as Photosynth, but you can give it a try :) You can also play around with the tiles generated by the tool, and switch them out to create cool effects.
Photosynth viewing is now supported on the Mac via the new Photosynth Silverlight viewer.
