Hi Herman,
Thank you for your mail. I am very sorry about any problems you might have experienced. However our system should be very stable. Could you please send us an email with your details to customerteam@rebtel.com and we'll help you out from there. We will of course give you a refund if you want but we would appreciate your help in identifying any problems.
Thank you Herman!

Thank you Lalani! Your praise means a lot to us. We will make sure Pakistan calling stays high quality and low cost. Don't forget that you can use Free Calls from your landline or mobile to call to or from Pakistan and only pay for a local call (Karachi and Lahore for now).
Thank you and best regards,
Patric

I just wanted to thank all Rebtel friends that contacted E-Plus. You made them aware of the blocking and put enough pressure on them to solve the problems. You should not experience any problems now but if you do please contact support@rebtel.com.
Until next time an operator blocks their own users. Because as long as they have 95% margin on their international calls they will defend their profits with all they have, even if it means frauding their own users.
Thank you again!

Patric Blixt replied on September 22, 2009 22:42 to the question "Rebtel rates no longer competitive?" in Rebtel:
Hi Renjuzone!
Good comment! We agree that we need to become more competitive and we are working on our best suppliers to be able to give you that. Please note that we only have 6-second billing and only provide the highest quality on voice and support. There are cheap providers that can give you lower rates but please read the fine print and look for hidden charges. There is also a very large difference in the call quality between providers. We always aim to have the very best.
However, since we should be the price and quality leader, we hear you and we hope to be able to rectify that very soon.
Thank you again for a good comment!
Best regards,
Patric

Patric Blixt posted an update in Rebtel on September 16, 2009 14:00:
E-Plus blocks Rebtel in GermanyDear Rebtel friends,
Once again an operator has decided to block our local numbers for calling. Thanks to all users who were quick to inform us about the problem.
This time it's the third largest operator in Germany E-Plus http://www.eplus.de/. We have contacted E-Plus and asked for an explanation on why they are stopping their own customers from calling a standard local number.
However the reason why E-Plus wants to stop Rebtel is of course the very high margins on their international calling. But it's a short-sighted way of stopping any threats to their diminishing margins. Their actions violate not only the EU-regulations but are also a breach of E-Plus customers' contracts. With their rates, lockins and hidden charges they can be 1000% more expensive than Rebtel. Please feel free to compare http://www.rebtel.com/en/Rates/Rates/ to their rates: http://www.eplus.de/Beratung_und_Kauf....
If you are as upset as we are about this please consider sending an e-mail to the E-Plus support. https://www.eplus.de/Beratung_und_Kau....
To summarize, we are sorry this happened. It shouldn’t have to. Enough said is that it has happened many times before but with over 3 million users Rebtel is currently not being blocked by any operator in the world. Except e-plus. The reason why we are never blocked is something E-Plus is about to experience when their users start contacting them.
Take care!
Patric

Hi Kawaljeet,
Just wanted to let you know that we are about to implement that function since it will help you avoid any hidden charges that your operator might have like hang-up or convenience fees. Hope to have it up soon and we will inform about it on our site www.rebtel.com.
Thank you for good ideas!

Patric Blixt replied on July 07, 2009 10:28 to the question "Rebtel rates no longer competitive?" in Rebtel:
Hi Amit! First of all thank you for calling with Rebtel and for your honest and constructive comments! Actually we agree with you 100%. The reason for that is that we should have the lowest rates with the best calling quality. That is what our users expect and what we need to deliver.
We aim to continuously lower our prices, which we have to destinations like Nigeria, Ghana and India. We can see that the rates to many other destinations are dropping and we are moving in full speed in our negotiations with our best quality suppliers and should be able to lower our rates soon to many important destinations.
There are many dishonest services that show rates that are impossible to maintain. Either they have hidden charges or they are buying really bad calling quality. However I think you mean Localphone and from what we have heard they are an honest service that we like since they help to challenge the operators. However you might want to know that you call with Rebtel for 2.9 US¢ to India if you pre-pay $25 which is the same minute price as Localphone. The difference is that we use 6-second billing, not minute billing, which we believe that we are unique in doing.
Please don't forget that you can call for free to the US and 50 other countries with Smartcalls. Just ask your friend to hang-up and call back to the number that showed on their phone while you stay on the line. You only pay your operator for a local call which can be free with inclusive minutes. http://www.rebtel.com/en/How-it-works...
So we hear you and are working on the rates and at the same time to maintain our quality and our support. Thank you again Amit and I hope you trust us to do the needful.
Best regards and wishes for a nice summer!
Patric

Patric Blixt replied on May 26, 2009 09:52 to the question "I want to stop using the service" in Rebtel:
Jenny,
We are on the consumer's side against fraudulent or large operator with too high margins. Our goal is to be the most honest and transparent calling service. We have honest rates with 6-seconds rounding. We have no hidden charges like convenience fees, hang-up fees, 1-minute rounding that many other services have.
We would be interested in knowing what other services are as transparent and offer as competitive rates as we do so we can congratulate them on helping the whole business to become more honest.
You are welcome to mail any issues to us regarding rates or quality. Please verify that you are a real Rebtel user and we will look into any issues you might have.
Best regards,
Patric
