Exploit lets me post via someone's account without AUTHI just discovered a pretty big security hole with your website. It allows me to post an update via someones account without needing to login.
I have sent an email via the contact form, but as a failsafe I will post here too. I don't want to post any details as others may exploit this bug if they see this posting. Feel free to email me for more details: bmn [ at ] bmn dot name, or just follow up the email I sent via the contact form as I have put all the details in there.
Cheers,
Ben

Aristel - lol, just providing an alternative. I'm not the only one here offering alternatives. – Ben Novakovic, on August 15, 2008 00:47

i agree, but given the situation, its better than using m.twitter.com if you want the features. Just offering a suggestion to the remark you made: "Oh, and DMs don't work on m.twitter.com, so it's not even close to an equivalent service." – Ben Novakovic, on August 14, 2008 08:30

or for a lightweight twitter web client with a chunk of features, try http://m.tweete.net – Ben Novakovic, on August 14, 2008 08:11

If anyone is planning on using the mobile twitter website now that SMS's have been removed in most countries, I would suggest http://m.tweete.net . Its implemented all the most common features of twitter, with minimal page size. At the moment each page is around 5k, which is 1/5th the size of slandr and the same size as the mobile web client released by twitter, just with more features.

Geo aware twitpic updates with mapsI was wondering if you guys were going to make the pictures location aware? I have a phone that auto geo-tags my photos in the GPS section of the exif infomation. I was just curious if you were ever planning to stick a link to google maps (or an embedded minimap) on the images page on twitpic with a pin pointing to where the photo was taken?
This topic is somewhat related to this entry: http://getsatisfaction.com/twitpic/to...

I got an email that Paul posted here, but I can't see his post. Anyway - just letting him know that putting the link and meta lines on their own line didn't seem to solve the problem.
I also tried Ash's suggestion of trying http://blog.bmn.name/ with the http and the trailing slash. Still no luck.

Subdomained OpenID Auth FailsWhen trying to log in to the Particls Firefox extension with my OpenID, I get errors like this:
"There was a "HttpError" trying to authenticate that OpenID. Please check the value and try again."
My open id is "blog.bmn.name", and I wonder wither the subdomain is causing problems with the openID library you guys are using.
I know my openID works perfectly as I use it for a number of other sites such as magnolia.
