Ok -- I am getting mainly checkin notifications. One is from someone local -- the others are like Oregon, Colorado and Missouri -- I am in Napa, CA -- I have nearby notifications on -- but only to do e-mail and set to 2000 meters. I am still getting sms notifications. I have turned off (in Account settings/Notifications) the SMS notifications and left the e-mail notifications on. I am now getting the e-mail notifications (after personal error) but I am also getting SMS notifications. Since I need to wait for Verizon to get its act together the SMS component is less useful -- and I am getting many which I need to turn off to catch my breath....is there something I might be doing wrong?

No e-mail notifications. What might I be doing wrong? I seem to be able to get SMS notifications but I do not get e-mail. I am getting a little bit too much coming to my SMS so I wanted to do e-mail -- does not seem to be doing this....

I have seen this before with other services -- it seems that Verizon must throw up road blocks or something.

I suspected as much. seems like it is often the case with Verizon. Now if I can just figure why I am not getting e-mail updates.

I get other peoples sms updates. But I do not get mine. I do not get confirmations. If I sms HELP I do not get anything -- I am feeling like I must be doing something wrong -- or a setting that needs to be changed.

itunes keeps asking for itunes.msi in windows

Recently when I have tried to update my itunes to the latest (on Windows -- works fine on my Mac(s)) I get a point where it is asking for the previous itunes.msi. There are some itunes.msi on the PC but none that work, and definitely not in the directory that it wants as default. If I try to uninstall that does not seem to work. I am running 7.1.x and I am trying to upgrade to latest.
