Cadill started following the problem "Twitter broken" in Ping.fm.
Cadill asked a question in Ping.fm on October 21, 2009 11:43:
Ping.fm sometimes not posting to TwitterNormally my posts go to Twitter, but lately (10/20 and 10/21) some of my posts just didn't get posted to Twitter. Is there something I'm doing wrong? What does ping.fm do for Twitter posts if the length is longer than 140 characters (truncate?). Is there a log of success/failure in posting somewhere so I can go look what happened to my missing Twitter posts from ping.fm?

Thanks, Sean. What was it? Is it likely to happen again? (I ask because it's happened to me in the past as well). – Cadill, on September 30, 2009 17:15

I don't think my account was compromised. I just think there is a technical issue which is occasionally causing ping.fm to post the wrong picture, or to erroneously cross-post someone else's picture in status updates. I agree it is a serious bug that needs to be fixed. I hope ping.fm answers this one. – Cadill, on September 30, 2009 04:18
Cadill reported a problem in Ping.fm on September 29, 2009 19:21:
ping.fm posted someone else's picture when I updated my status. I didn't send this picture!Ping.fm posted someone else's picture as mine. I sent a status update via email saying "Working, listening to music" with _no_ image in it, and ping.fm posted it along with a picture of someone else's kitchen:

I don't recognize this photo and I certainly didn't send it. Why did ping.fm post this photo with my status update???
This is the second time this has happened to me. I'm scared of what will happen if ping.fm posts a really crazy photo someday. This one is relatively tame, but I'm afraid to use ping.fm if this is going to happen!
Please explain how this could happen and what I can do to prevent it.

Thanks for your work, Digitprop. Brightkite, do you have an update on your own integration? – Cadill, on August 24, 2009 20:53

That's great, Digitprop, but I'd feel a bit more comfortable if I knew that you had Brightkite's blessing on this :) Brightkite, you guys have anything to say about your own integration? – Cadill, on August 24, 2009 19:55-

Be nice! Adam rules!
Adam, is making the ping.fm media page available on mobile browsers something that ping.fm is working on? Is there hope? We really think it would make ping.fm 150% better (think of all the extra customers viewing the pages!).
Thanks. – Cadill, on August 19, 2009 12:21
Cadill asked a question in Ping.fm on August 10, 2009 21:15:
Ping.fm misses/ignores/drops/fails to post some of my picturesSometimes (seemingly randomly) when I send a picture through ping.fm, it doesn't get posted. The picture is ignored and just the text goes through. I haven't figured out under what circumstances this happens, because sometimes I'll send exactly the same picture again and it gets posted the second time. What's going on at ping.fm that would make it just ignore/drop a picture from a post?

Oops, sorry Adam, we didn't mean to spam you. We thought maybe once you marked a problem solved you didn't see it any more. – Cadill, on August 10, 2009 20:49

OK I've created a new thread here: http://bit.ly/3k2Yib
Maybe Ping.fm will see it and realize that the problem is not resolved.
If you want to display the ping.fm site on your mobile browser and see your images, please go over to that thread and let Ping.fm know that you have the same problem/desire.
Thanks!

Ping.fm site does not show pictures on mobile browsersThis issue was brought up before but not resolved (see link: http://bit.ly/17rfWU)
I have trouble with the Ping.fm site from my Windows Mobile browser. The main image on media pages like this one http://ping.fm/p/2IXBE does not appear. I get the small navigation images at the top, but the main image is simply absent on Internet Explorer for Windows Mobile 6 and other mobile browsers.
I post pictures to ping.fm with my phone all the time; it would be really nice to actually be able to see what I've posted.
Do you have any plans for make a mobile version of the site so I can see images on my phone in addition to sending them from my phone? Right now the m.ping.fm site makes no attempt to display my pictures at all. I'd REALLY appreciate the rest of the site defaulting to an optimized small-screen experience when the site detects I'm coming from a phone browser like IE for WM6.
Thanks and let me know!!!

Gozar is right, I still can't view ping.fm pics on my mobile browser. Perhaps we should start this question over again, since maybe since they marked this problem "solved", they aren't looking at this thread anymore? – Cadill, on August 04, 2009 03:34
