bug in typeaheadIntermittent bug in <company>/topics/new "typeahead":
Steps to reproduce (reproducible on my sybmionica, but not here...):
1) ..../symbionica/topics/new
2) type "what is pricing"
3) click "idea"
4) backspace/delete "what is pricing" and type "bug in vista"
Expected Behavior: "These topics may help" would change from "...pricing" topics to nothing (as I blank out pricing) and then to "...Vista..." topics as I type in the word "vista"
Actual Behavior: "These topics may help" content is static
</company>

Why doesn't "Check for Updates" work?I heard there is a new update, but the update wizard thinks there are no new updates.
If a) you are not connected to the internet, or b) if the third party Update tool I'm using encounters a problem, it will just flash by as if there are no new updates.
If you can access other web pages in your browser, then it's probably the latter particularly for folks who downloaded the beta edition.
The workaround is to download the latest 1.0 version of FaceSay (see Links on the left of this page) , which includes a more robust Update Wizard.
Casey replied on February 27, 2008 18:23 to the idea "Custom Search and Links on our Pages" in Get Satisfaction:
Hi Leslie,
Sure. If you go to weebly.com, and sign up for a free account, then click "pages", "new page", then under "Design Elements", click "more" and then drag a "Custom HTML" element onto the page. You click in the "newborn" element on the page and a "Edit HTML" button appears above in the banner, then you click it (a few too many clicks :-)) and a text area field appears where you can paste/type custom HTML. For example, I pasted your embed code into my "Questions" page at www.FaceSay.com and presto :-).
Weebly has a separate "Footer HTML" in their "Settings" page, by the way, that is perfect for analytic trackers (I use opentracker.net and crazyegg). It would be great to be able to track navigation on our company getsatisfaction pages :-).
Longer term, I can see the benefit of having a simple page layout capability ala Weebly for GetSatisfaction (busdev partnership???), but for now an "add new custom html" button (ala add new links) on the admin page, which would display a text area field where we could paste/edit custom HTML and maybe designate the position (bottom/footer, top/header, left col, right col???) would be great. What do you think?
