Here's a quick brainstorm....
Change "Start a New Topic" to "Start a new a) Question, b) Idea, ..." etc, saving a click. One presentation of this approach could be ...
After search for a question, below the question box can change the "Didn't find what you want/not quite..." message to
"Not quite it? Add a new: " then a row of the four icons (question, idea, topic, etc), with mouseover/etc, that wnen click start a new topic of that type.

Custom Search and Links on our PagesIt would be great to be have something that let's us add a few custom elements to our Get Satisfaction page. Simple/starter idea is to let us add links to our online help page (maybe just to the right of our product icons???). Even better would be able to embed some custom HTML (extrapolating from weebly design elements) that would let folks do a search of our other repositiories (e.g. search of online help, search of existing company faqs), and then a way to tag it as the answer so the question and selected answer appeared in get satisfaction.

I second the motion, third the motion and stuff the ballot as much as I can :-). Really was a distringuishing factor for you, set the right tone for the "conversation". I like a separate "start topic" button however. Also, the auto search as you type I'd vote to make an option. If you pause, you can get a bunch of irrelevant results ("try typing "get " and then pausing on your way to finding "get satisfaction").-

Casey asked a question in Symbionica on February 26, 2008 22:08:
I am wondering what ages you recommend this product to?We think it's best for kids ages 4 to 12, but of course, it varies by child.
For the older kids, the limit is really how generous they can be in
indulging my current themes of babies and talking animals. So, pre-K
through elementary is great, middle school and upper elementary should be fine, high school
might be a stretch, but...
Many of the older students are very good natured about it, and particularly when asked if they would mind testing something new, they don't mind at
all. Some, understandably, won't want to be seen playing with such a cute
game :-). On my drawing board is a new set of themes/characters - changing out the cute stuff for superheroes, scientiests and such - which should appeal more to the older students and even adults.
In the first UAB study,
http://www.slideshare.net/FaceSay/enc... ,
the kids ranged in age from 6-14. UAB just finished a study w/ 4yo
neurotypical preschoolers that went well (the kids like it and it showed a
benefit). A third study, w/ autistic students from 4 - 12 is gearing up now.

Page level footersThe current footers are per site. CrazyEgg, et al generate code that is page specific. It would be great to have the footer gizmo available for each page. Come to think of it, ditto for meta tags.

New "Satisfactiion" Design Element? It would be great to have a Satisfaction Widget in the Design Pallete in Weebly. That could have design time params to link our company, and/or product and then a few display options (ideally w/ CSS matching style of Weebly template).

Hi Leslie,
I wasn't thinking of a sticky topic, but that's a nice idea, too. I'm not sure I would want my release notes as sticky topics. It would get to be a bit cluttered. Extrapolating on the concept, how about allowing us, either at runtime (e.g. with a url param???) or on a per topic??? per tag??? basis to specify display options, such as "show/hide X" (topic type, icon, details, summary, etc).
Thanks,
Casey

new "solution" topic typeIdeas, Questions, Problems, etc. could use a new sibling - "Solultion" (or some such).
I've just added a link in my app's "ReadMe" that will link to all new features and fixes in this release.
When I tested it, I realized that without wording in the question to clarify right up front, a speed reader might not realize something marked as a problem has been fixed with a new feature. The "warning" icon is not the impression I want to leave them with. So, it would be great to have a "Share as a Solution" button as a topic type
Thanks,
Casey

Shoot. I understand the drive for openness, but am disappointed in the "all or nothing" approach that overlooks extensions to the use of Satisfaction that would only feed your original intents. I have a group of alpha users who are under NDA and I would love to use satisfaction to collaborate with them. When a feature moves from drawing board to a public beta, or when I had filed my provisional patent :-), I could then simply flag some subset of the discussions to bubble up to public view.
Let me know if you change your mind. Nice tool overall.
