Yep, we only charge you once per direct message, regardless of whether we send you one or two SMSes. We are currently looking into how we can best format the text of the message based on user suggestions. At the moment we're inclined to stick to the Twitter wording just because everyone's familiar with it, but we're definitely seeing what we can do better. We'll keep your suggestions in mind :)
