@Chris:
There is also more-gonzo - add-on with a "medium-player".
http://addons.songbirdnest.com/addon/...
This is very similar to the itunes-miniplayer.
But you are right, more mini-player-designs would be nice. Perhaps some Feathers-Developer can get into this...

There is this addon: http://addons.songbirdnest.com/addon/107
But it has not been updated in sometime. It is not compatible with 0.7.0. I also do not think it is minimalist enough for what you want.
Your suggestion could probably be implemented by updating and modifying this addon. Otherwise, a new feather is the way to go.
Thanks for the idea.

Need to include better mini playerJust a thought, but I would appreciate an included feather that is more minimal. I know there is the mini player, but it is just too small. Something more like the mini player iTunes uses. And it needs to be included, because it is next to impossible for someone new to find the right feather on the addons site.

Marko,
I've taken all the "reblog" buttons and links off of my blog. To explain, I used Zemanta merely to add tags to posts. I went back and used Zemanta to add more relevant tags to some older posts. In every post I used Zemanta to add tags, a < div >, a little "reblog" button, and a link to Zemanta were inserted at the end.
Zemanta was very helpful, but I wouldn't have installed it originally if I knew the button and links would be added to my blog.

Certainly unethical, if that's what it does. It shouldn't, all links should result from blogger willingly apply links by clicking on presented suggestions. It's therefore probably a bug. Could you please give me a link to a sample post where this happened so we can try to find and fix the problem?
The only exception to the above is the reblog image at the end of post, which gets added when Zemanta gets used (when any suggestion gets clicked on). It is, as I've explained, optional even though on by default.
You are right, it is not possible to remove plugin (yet) without leaving a trace. This is our first WP plugin release and we plan to address this and other issues in future ones. I'm not sure if we will be able to automatically remove traces of Zemanta from old posts though, since as yet I am not aware of a way in WordPress to do this, but I am certain we can at least take care of API key in database.

Marko, thanks for the response. I'm a little ticked at the Zemanta WP plugin. It provides me an amazing service, but it embeds links to Zemanta in my posts while never telling me it would do this. Unethical? So it seems that the answer to my question is, it is not possible to completely uninstall the Zemanta WordPress extension. – Chris, on June 22, 2008 21:18

I presume it's zemanta image added to the end of those posts where you used our extension that bothers you. If it's that, then you can select in preferences for that image not to be added (link to preferences can be found below articles).
This setting however won't change older posts, where you have to delete that button yourself. Our extension can't help you with this because it doesn't have access to them.
You can remove WordPress plugin by deleting Zemanta subdirectory in plugin directory. This won't change posts either and it will leave one string in database, which is an API key that was used for fetching suggestions.
Chris asked a question in Zemanta on June 21, 2008 02:50:
How can I completely uninstall WordPress extension? Can I uninstall the Zemanta WordPress extension and get the code out of my posts? I'm a little aggravated that Zemanta adds all this code to my posts. How do I uninstall Zemanta and get my blog back to the state it was before I activated the extension? Did it add anything to my database?
