Poinsett Bridge
Greenville, SC, USA

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970

This historic stone bridge was built in 1820 and completed the first road between Asheville, NC and Greenville, SC. The bridge is no longer in use, but it is still standing with minimal deterioration. It has a 14-foot Gothic arch and is the oldest intact bridge in SC. The bridge is named "Poinsett Bridge" after the public servant Joel Roberts Poinsett. Also the same man who introduced the Poinsettia to the United States.

PS: It's also rumored to be haunted

I'm having the same problem. Just thought it was b/c none of my friends were using Gowalla yet but it's not. I had a friend I saw checked in at a location and it posted on her facebook wall. Went to try and find her on Facebook and it just sits there. I've tried the iphone app and the website app from my laptop. She ended up having to find me with my email address..

I get it everytime I try to connect to Twitter. It pops up a white screen then gives the name of the error.

I know it's funny looking but I think the Gaffney, SC peach water tower needs it's own icon...there just isn't any other category it fits into. Take a look..haha

What about a Funeral Home...just use Cemetery?

What category should I put a Hippie Store/Natural Medicine into? Like incense, clothing, jewelry, candles, herbal lotions etc? I hate using General or Other Shopping...

I agree with needing...Post Office, EMS (emergency medical service) building, Liquor Store, Doctor's Office, Hair and Nail Salon
