Sending serial commands with tibbo basicI have a VB.net application that sends commands to a device connected via rs232 in byte arrays. how do i send the same commands in tibbo basic? so far, i've only been able to find the ser.setdata function, which requires the command to be of string type.

flow control uses RTS / CTS to determine the direction of communication. Since the pin state never changes on the side that did not turn on the flow control, the data was never allowed to pass. If you are interested, you can read more here:

Serial rs232 Loopback on EM1000-TEVI've been trying to do a serial loopback test on the EM1000-TEV, but data that's coming out is not coming back in. I did the same thing with a windows hyperterminal and it worked. any idea how i can troubleshoot this?

It's not gonna show up... It's not a fixed-function Device Server -- it's programmable.
Get TIDE (http://www.tibbo.com/taiko.php), install it, and you'll see it in the Target Selection dialog. Then you can load any Tibbo BASIC program (there are lots on the website, and they're easy to make).

Upgraded with EM1202 firmware but does not show up in DS managerI just upgraded my DS1202 with the taiko EM1202 firmware, and now it does not show up in DS Manager. How do I program it to respond to DS Manager?
