As long as your cousin hangs up within 10 seconds, the call will not be charged as 1 minute. Just make sure that he hangs up straight away and you can wait as long as you need to for him to call back, you will not be charged. Hope this makes sense! – Danielle, on November 24, 2009 08:32

Hi Jasmin,

When you call internationally through Rebtel, we provide you with a local number you can dial which will route your call internationally to your contact. This means that you pay your phone operator for the price of a local call and the international, Rebtel-carried part is charged through us.

We can't say for sure exactly how much local calls are charged for on your personal phone plan, so contact your mobile company directly to find out more.

Our rates depend entirely on the suppliers that are available to us in the country of termination, so rates can vary greatly between different countries, even if they're close together.

We're always working with our suppliers in the Philippines to lower our rates while still maintaining excellent call quality, so hopefully we'll be able to offer cheaper rates soon!

Hi Gayle,

You will have to follow the Free Call procedure every time you set up a call, so your friend will always have to call you back. Once they hang up the originating call, you will not be charged for the international portion of the call via Rebtel. The only call that is still connected is the local call.

The call will be posted as a local call on your phone bill. Your carrier handles only the local call portion of a Free Call, the international portion is handled by Rebtel.
