Hi Dan, sorry about the site not displaying well for you. Our site is designed to fit well within a monitor set to the standard 1024 x 768 resolution. If your monitor is set to 800 x 600, that could account for why you are having to scroll. Hope this helps.

You can catch the latest neighborhood blog posts on our home page under "What You're Blogging" on the right side of our home page just under our columnists. There is also a navigation link under "Opinion" to "Your Blogs." That link goes to a page featuring a large assortment of Central Florida blogs, including the OrlandoSentinel.com community bloggers. Hi Barry, sorry you were not able to find the information you were looking for. To implement the Windowx XP fix, visit Microsoft's support site here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/972890

There is a link there that says "Fix it for me," which will disable the problem area of your computer when clicked.

A comment on the idea "Website dislike" in Orlando Sentinel:

Hi plagwate, thanks for pointing out these issues. I've raised your point about the lack of a national news link in our navigation with the team here. Also, there is a feed of National & World news on our home page under the "More News" area.

Regarding comments, we are still having downtime on our new message board system, which the tech team is working to fix.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that the idea with the "wave" look on the header was to more closely identify the web site with the newspaper, which uses a similar --though not identical-- style in its print sections.

Hi Cyn, thanks for letting us know about the slowness. We have been experiencing some server issues that contributed to the slowness. Also, we've been working to lighten our page weight after the initial launch. Our page is lighter by several hundred kilobytes at this point thanks to some streamlining. Hopefully, the home page will be running more quickly for you now.
