A comment on the question "Images not displayed in widget" in Widgetbox:
Hi Tiffany,
Sorry for any confusion, but media:thumbnail is an element to be included in the feed, not in your post.
media:thumbnail would have to be a feed element, similar to Title, Summary, etc. If you view the source of your feed, you might be able to see what I'm talking about, but this may be outside of your comfort level.
Since your feed is a typepad feed, they may be able to help you figure out how to add this element to the feed (or be able to tell you whether they support it or not)
Hope this helps, Tiffany!
Dave

Yes, i agree that something as simple as 'ask them' can be far from simple. keep me posted on any additional info you need. The main question for Wordpress, to assist in getting the best answer is:
"How do I include images in my feed?"
All the best!

Hi Jim,
Thanks for the clarification. The HTML module that I'm using is an HTML module on the page, not inserting HTML in a post. Webs.com support will be able to best answer where they do and do not accept widget snippets, so you may want to ping them to clarify exactly what they currently support:

hah. I'd rather you be fully informed anyways. The issue (IE Javascript error) was introduced a few days ago. So you most likely created those other polls before the issue was introduced OR you had a cached version of the working page in IE.
All the best and thanks for using the site, Diane!

A comment on the question "Why Won't My Widget Resize When Published?" in Widgetbox:
It's not an issue of the widget displaying correctly or not. It's an issue that in IE, there's a Javascript error that prevents saving that size change.
So yes, if you use an alternate browser, it'll work.
Without being too harsh, IE is usually the problem child. As a general rule, if you use any website out there that has problems, try any browser other than IE first. IE is the worst. Regardless, a fix will be out soon.
Thanks again for your patience. – Dave Rhea, on February 09, 2010 19:39

Dave Rhea replied on February 09, 2010 17:24 to the question "not working wordpress feed" in Widgetbox:
Not exactly. Wordpress wouldn't be an issue here. The two issues are:
1. Feed does not contain images
2. Feed is too slow to respond at times
For #1, you need to add images to your feed. If you're using Wordpress, I'm sure that they can provide some info on how to do this using their tools.
For #2, try using a service like Feedburner to serve your feed reliably.

Thanks Joe. CNBC recently changed their feeds, resulting in non-valid RSS feeds. We've removed the widget form our gallery, but I took a look at their feed and I don't expect this content to come back soon (unless CNBC changes the way they generate their feeds).
Quite unfortunate, but please know that this is not a Widgetbox limitation. Feedburner and Feedvalidator agree that these are no longer valid (usable) feeds.
Thanks for following up, Joe.

Great news. I know it's a little tricky, but glad you got to see what you were looking for.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to help too much with coding your ad. This tutorial may help you out:

Hi there,
Your feed does not look to have any images in it. If you'd like us to pull images from the feed, the feed must have images.
As for the 'feed too long' message, could this possibly be 'feed took too long to load' or a similar message? If so, this would mean that your feed responded too slowly. You could get around this using a feed proxy, such as feedburner.com
Hope this helps!
Dave
