Hi Cas,
We increased the limit for messaging to 460 characters in response to your request. Status lines are still 140, but messages about the status lines (or anything else) can be longer now.

"If you are starting a private message to someone, there currently is no limit. Responding to private messages has a 140 char limit. Public messaging has 140 limit for both starting and responding."

This is to support text messaging updates.

The company that sends your text messages to us decided to start capitalizing them. We don't have an explanation yet, but are working with them to fix their problem.

This was a problem with the channel that sends your SMS to quub. We've implemented a temporary fix on our end for now and are working with the rest of the people (aka other companies) involved to fix this. It's obviously the wrong thing to capitalize text messages automatically.

We don't have a native app on the TOUCH, so can you tell us how you are entering status?
for example by text message, through the website, by IM, etc.
