Problems signing in

This is already the second time that it's happening to me in one week. I can't seem to sign in with my username and password. Then an email is sent to my secondary e-mail address and from the link there I can reset the password from my gmail account. The thing is - I type in the same password it's supposed to work when I initially try to sign in and the problem is solved.

I pointed this out to show that it is not in the Caps Lock or typos or forgetting passwords.
Also there are ueber small chances that I am mistyping my username since it is my own name.surname.

Can you explain to me what may be causing this? At first I was afraid that my account might be compromised, but this looks like a technical problem.

I still get update notifications of the plurks I already muted. I have noticed this problem 2 days ago.
