I have no evidence to support this opinion, but I suspect this may be a back door application. After years of operating with no problems, I started to experience problems, including my DVD drive seeing every disk as blank, applications reinstalling every time I use them, significant slowing of the computer, and my eBay account being hacked. This all coincided with the appearance of ASTiDog in my startup menu. Extensive searching has failed to find this as part of any application that I have installed - or any other application. I plan to remove it using Defender's explore software option and see what happens. I'll try to report back here with the results!
