steph reported a problem in Windows Live on March 07, 2009 08:43:
Firefox tries to download GetAttachment.aspxFirefox tries to download GetAttachment.aspx when I click on an e-mail attachment in Hotmail.
I have this problem on a client's computer, and on mine too. OSX.5, and latest version of Firefox.
Any ideas welcome, I'm hitting a brick wall here. Things were working normally on my client's computer yesterday morning, but by the end of the two-hour session the problem was there.

Names and addresses not very readable! In an earlier thread, I mentioned that e-mail addresses can't be copy-pasted, which is VERY annoying. I don't use an external mail client, and clicking them doesn't do anything. I want to be able to copy them.
In addition to that (in an aggravating way) the font used to display the e-mail addresses and the names of the poeple is not very legible. I have a hard time telling i from l and f from t. I use Firefox on a Macbook running OSX.
Can you do something about this? it's very frustrating.-

can't copy-paste e-mail addresses from cards?I want to write an e-mail to one of the contacts I got through Poken. But oh-- it seems I cannot copy-paste the e-mail address from their card in my contacts?!! Using FFox latest version on OSX.
Bug or feature? If feature... I'd give it a serious rethink ;-)
steph reported a problem in iRobot on March 05, 2009 13:01:
Roomba heads to dock, but doesn't seem to charge when it gets thereI suspect my Roomba has a battery or charging problem. It goes to the dock, but when it gets there the light doesn't pulsate -- it's just green.
If I take it off the dock and ask it to clean, the battery light is red immediately, and the first thing it does is head back to the dock for a recharge (which it doesn't do).
What's going on? Is the battery dead? Does something need cleaning? Is it a bigger problem?
Thanks for any information you can give me.
steph replied on March 02, 2009 20:06 to the problem "Website Feedback -- "Home" not logical place to find contacts once you're elsewhere on site" in Poken:
Bryan, sorry for the confusion -- as you can see I edited my problem after putting it wrongly.
I think it makes perfect sense to have contacts available as soon as you log in. The problem is what happens once you've started wandering around the site. "Home" isn't a logical place to go back to if you haven't yet recorded the fact that contacts live on that page.
While we're at it, I had a very frustrating time trying to figure out where to upload a photo on my profile. Finally found it, but it was well hidden.
Can you tell us more about what you have in the works to improve the site?
IMHO it needs some serious interaction design work (not my specialty so wouldn't really be able to give you a proper diagnosis)... I'm sure you'll agree the site is going to be a vital element in the success of Poken: if people are confused by it in any way, chances are they'll walk :-( (and as I said, so far my experience hasn't been good, nor has that of those i spoke with).
Looking forward to hearing more on the topic!

Website Feedback -- "Home" not logical place to find contacts once you're elsewhere on siteNot easy to understand where my contacts are. "Home" is not where I'd imagine finding them. I guess you got plenty of feedback about the website, but I think it really needs improving. I find it confusing (and I'm used to this kind of site), and it's the main feedback I've heard about Poken around me -- aside from the fact that the concept was great, of course ;-)

A comment on the idea "How about making this community multilingual?" in Get Satisfaction:
Raynald, you're missing a point: if you encourage languages to segregate, there is a "brain-drain" of bilingual speakers towards english communities. You want to keep the support communities multilingual to prevent a silo effect and poorer knowledge in non-english communities. – steph, on March 01, 2009 10:55

steph asked a question in Poken on March 01, 2009 10:48:
new site or not new site?Is the current site (March 1st) the new site or not? I thought Bryan told me at Lift09 that the site was going to be improved (it needs it, imho) but then I see all these messages here about the new website.
I hope you have something in the works to make it more user-friendly, like I thought I understood!
steph replied on March 01, 2009 10:44 to the idea "feedback/Get Satisfaction: yet another userid/password" in Poken:
Koen: what's nice about getsatisfaction is that once you have an account here, you can give feedback on tons of products and companies. So... many people actually will already have an account for getsatisfaction.
look up other products you use, and you'll that the username/login you created will take you way further than poken feedback! :-)
