The Rebtel number to your friend is automatically mapped by us to the nearest city.
If for some reason the number is not local, it could be that we do not have numbers in his city.

Thanks for your feedback and I'm sorry that you have had so many issues while making payments.
I totally understand your frustration and I can only apologize for the issue syou have stumbled upon. Our payment provider was down while you were trying to make a payment. This is not an excuse but an honest explanation.
We are looking into implementing backup providers to avoid this kind of situations.

When you log in, could you try entering your number in international format with country code first?

Is your landline number registered under your account?
If not, then try adding your landline number to your account by logging in, clicking on Settings->Manage phones and following the instructions.
If so, please contact us at customerteam@rebtel.com so we can check what might be wrong.

I'm really sorry to hear that you feel the way you do.
Due to the nature of our service it is necessary that you contact us by email when you experience issues so that we can see the call examples of the failed calls, identify the issue and fix it. When you had the issue a week ago, I kindly asked you to send us an email and identify yourself as jenny from getsatisfaction so that we could put special attention into your issue and make it up for the trouble you experienced. Unfortunately we didn’t find your email.

We are not the company who likes to censor, rather we are very open and let everyone say what they think about Rebtel. However, there is a line between saying what you think about us, and using our forums to advertise other services.
