Actually, just noticed that it's the US version (don't know if there's any actual difference) which may also explain why McAfee had no problem with it.

I have found a way around it. I downloaded Thunderbird 2.0.0.22 and then immediately installed the update to 2.0.0.23. McAfee seemed happy with this, so it seems to be the original installation file for build 0.23 that it has the problem with. My immediate problem has been solved by this get-around. Thanks for your help.

Hi - I'm still getting Thunderbird blocked from installing by McAfee, due to McAfee claiming the presence of trojan Artemis!DAA2175088F5.

Using McAfee Security Center v 9.15.135, and have justed updated virus info to DAT 5790. Trying to download Thunderbird v 2.0.0.23 - it downloads but then McAfee prevents installation.
