Emily Rockwater replied on July 27, 2009 14:41 to the question "Can't input my own choice of 'pick 5' in albums" in LivingSocial:
Walter,
Thanks for reporting this issue.
Most of the categories have databases created specifically for "Pick 5" and "Polls". These categories have the "Don't see what you want? Add your own!" link in almost all cases. A few have had this option removed for data integrity reasons (e.g., "Countries").
But some, like "Albums", have existing databases tied to our other applications. Items in these databases require additional information beyond a title and an image.
You can add items to any of these databases through the corresponding LivingSocial Facebook application -
* Go the the LivingSocial application home page (http://apps.facebook.com/livingsocial/)
* On the right hand side of the page, click on the corresponding interest icon (e.g., Albums)
* Allow access if you have not yet installed the application
* Using either the search feature or "Leaders" area, add 20 items to your collection (if your existing collection size is less than 20)
* Search for the item you wish to add
* If you find it, please let us know and we make sure it is added to LivingSocial Pick Your 5 search results
* If you do not find it, click on the "add the to our catalog yourself!" link at the bottom of the search results page and use this process to add it
If you add the item to the database yourself, it may take up to 24 hours for it to appear in LivingSocial Pick Your 5 or Poll search results.
Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
Thanks!

Thanks for emailing LivingSocial! We have recently resolved this issue. Changes made earlier than one week ago may not be visible due to expired sessions with Facebook, however any updates you made in the last week should be working now, as well as any changes you continue to make.
Please, let us know if you are still having trouble. We apologize for the inconvenience!

Emily Rockwater replied on April 06, 2009 19:37 to the question "The settings box in Facebook doesn't have a "Profile" tab." in LivingSocial:
Thanks for getting in touch with us!
These steps should add a "LivingSocial" box to your Facebook profile page -
* at the bottom the browser window, click on the "Applications" link on the left-hand side of the Facebook toolbar
* click on the "Edit" link at the top of the Applications Menu
* click on the "Show" pulldown menu
* select option "Authorized"
* under the "Authorized" view, find the "LivingSocial" row and click on the corresponding "Edit Settings" link
* click on the "Profile" tab/link
* next to "Box" status text, click "Add"
* click the "Okay" button
* go to your Facebook Profile
* click the 'Boxes' tab
* click the pencil icon in the top right corner of the "LivingSocial" profile box
* click "Move to Wall tab"
Please let us know if you encounter any problems executing these steps or if you are generally still having trouble getting the application to work.
Thanks!
