EmilyS replied on December 22, 2009 18:14 to the problem "OS X Tracker app is corrupted upon download." in Songkick:
Hey Brett,
I've not been able to reproduce this problem - can I ask for a few more details:
-When was it that you downloaded the Songkicker?
-Do you mean that you successfully downloaded the file, but you're not able to open it once it's in your applications folder?
Any extra info or maybe some screenshots would be a great help for us to figure out what's going wrong!
Thanks,
Emily.
EmilyS replied on December 21, 2009 11:37 to the question "Where can I edit the city I'm living?" in Songkick:
Gary - hopefully the above response will answer your question but please let me know if you need any further clarification!
If you want to stop tracking Cambridge, just go to the metro area page on your Tracker and click 'stop tracking' next to any areas you no longer want to track.

Thanks,
Emily.
EmilyS replied on December 21, 2009 11:25 to the question "how did Ticketmaster pinch my add" in Songkick:
Hello,
We think that this happened because we already had the event listed from Ticketmaster and it was then merged into your event on our admin interface. The merge copied over inventory changes from ticket vendors, including the original Ticketmaster one (from Dec 11) - so the source changed to reflect where we initially got the event from.
Hope that answers your question :)

EmilyS replied on December 18, 2009 14:01 to the question "where did the browsing calendar go?!" in Songkick:
Hey there,
Sadly that feature wasn't incorporated into the new version of the site when we relaunched back in the summer. Other people have requested for us to have it again though so it's something we'll bear in mind!
Now, you can browse through the London metro area page by month (we will be adding more narrow filter options in the future):

If you want to see what shows are happening on a specific day, you can use the site search: e.g. "New York, 20 December 2009"
To view upcoming concerts for your tracked artists, you can look on your Upcoming Events calendar
And your Tracker is also a good place to browse upcoming shows for your tracked artists, just click on the 'On tour' > 'near you' filter!

Hope that helps, let me know if you have any other questions or feedback.
Thanks!
Emily.

Hey Malbone,
Sorry for not getting back to you sooner - we've been working out how to resolve this issue. Unfortunately, it's not something we're going to be able to fix just yet but we hope to have it sorted by Christmas!
Again, apologies for the annoyance with this situation. We'll let you know as soon as the fix has gone live.
Thanks for being so patient.

EmilyS replied on December 16, 2009 17:09 to the question "Where has the 'most-seen' band listing bit gone?" in Songkick:
Hey there,
This is located on the artist tab of your gigography!

You can then click on 'n times' to see how many times you've seen a particular artist.

We'll take your suggestion on board to be able to click straight through from the artist page and see which gigs for that artist people have been to. Right now though, you can view this by going to their profile and clicking on the artist tab of their gigography as described above!
Hope that helps.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
Emily.

EmilyS replied on December 16, 2009 16:14 to the idea "three ideas" in Songkick:
Hey Paul,
Thanks for the suggestions - responses below!
1. Being able to note which bands you saw at a particular gig. Brilliant for those who like to trainspot. Great for giving friends an idea of who you saw/missed at a festival. Also great to be able to generate a list in one place of the bands you've seen (and even have another number to add to your profile as well as past gigs ie "past bands seen" or something).
You can view a list of artists you've seen on your gigography! Just click on the 'artist tab':

Right now, when you say 'I was there' at a concert, all artists in the line-up will get added to the above count. For festivals, you need to specifically select 'I was there' at the individual performances to add them to the count. You can do this by clicking on the 'See an alphabetical list. which artists did you see?' link on festival pages:

We've had other people request to be able to specifically say which artists they saw on concert line-ups so that's something we're bearing in mind. And we'll take your idea on board about adding the number to your main profile page :)
2. A way to add private notes about gigs that only you can see. I saw this purely for personal reasons, as somone who is seeing a lot of gigs as a reviewer and photographer - but it would be great for me to added something along the lines of which publication/website I'm doing the gig for, who my contact/press person etc is, tour manager cell phone number and whether I have the pass confirmed or need to check. I would imagine that a lot of your hardened Songkick members are doing similar stuff so having some small improvements to aid us would be amazing!
That's an interesting idea - we'll see if other users request it too before considering adding it to our product roadmap.
3. I like the fact that Songkick works in some small way like a facebook for live music fans. I wouldn't want it to go all the way and try and roll out too many personalisation features on the profile side of things. I would, however, love a tiny bit more on the profile - perhaps a dedicate field for a link to personal website etc.
We have this feature already! You can add an external link to your profile by going to 'Account settings' (top right of all pages) and then clicking on the 'edit profile' tab. You can add as many external links as you want, they'll be displayed on your profile like this:

Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other suggestions or questions.
Thanks,
Emily.
EmilyS replied on December 16, 2009 15:28 to the idea "Let me train a recommendation engine" in Songkick:
Hey there,
Thanks the for the suggestion. We think being able to make the recommendations more intuitive is a great idea so it's something we'll bear in mind for future improvements to the site!
On a related note, we recently improved our 'similar artists' functionality - it's now powered by Last.fm so you should find it's a lot more accurate. This can be found on artist pages e.g.:

...and on your Tracker when you start tracking an artist:

Let me know if you have any other questions or suggestions.
Thanks!

EmilyS replied on December 16, 2009 12:46 to the idea "Exporting gigs" in Songkick:
Hey there,
Being able to export gigs is something that other users have requested too, so it is an option we are considering for the future. We don't have any plans to incorporate something that exports directly to Last.fm though.
Let me know if you have any other suggestions or questions!
Thanks,
Emily.

Hi Munix,
I'm not sure which event you are referring to, but it doesn't look as though the Red Hot Chili Peppers have any upcoming dates scheduled right now.
Make sure you're tracking the band though so you get concert notifications when tickets go on sale for any future dates! Just search for them in your Tracker or click on 'Track' on the artist page:

Hey Simon,
Thanks for reporting this bug! We've just deployed a fix for it so you should find you can click on the pagination now to view all the pages.
Let me know if you notice anything else weird!
Glad to hear you're liking the site - give me a shout if you have any questions at all.
Cheers,
Emily.
