A comment on the question "Is Lightbox 2 Possible on my Yola site?" in Yola:
Hi Jane,
If Lightbox2 requires files to be added to the Head section of the document that this would not be possible; and FTP is not possible either. I hope you will be able to find something that works for you. – Emmy, on November 07, 2009 21:24
Emmy replied on November 07, 2009 21:16 to the problem "i cant delete my account" in Yola:
Hello cs0080,
I'm sorry you are having trouble deleting your account. Do you possibly not have a site created in your account? You need to have a site created in your account to have the option available to delete your account.
Is this the issue you are dealing with, or do you have a different problem, such as an error message when you try to delete your account?
Please let me know and I will further assist.

A comment on the question "I need to seperate 2 sites on my account" in Yola:
Hi Jane,
I can understand why unique logins for the sites in your account would be very helpful for the type of business you are running. I believe what many web designers do that use Yola Pro to create websites for clients is they perform all the maintenance so the other party doesn't have to login to the account, but that is just one way of doing things. We also have quite a few users who build multiple sites for various marketing and sales projects which is why the 25 sites comes in handy. What you would need to do if you want your clients to be able to edit their sites and have their own login is create a separate account for each client.
I understand that this is not optimal for what you are wanting to do, but I also cannot be sure if this is something that we will implement in the future. I'm sorry I don't have better news on that, but I hope you will be abel to use the suggestion about creating an account for each client and please let us know if we can assist with anything else.
Kind Regards,
Emmy

Emmy replied on November 07, 2009 17:37 to the question "Doing a link from my existing site" in Yola:
Hi John,
You can publish your Yola site to a free subdomain if you would like. I am not completely sure I understand what you are wanting to do, do you want to publish a site you have built with Yola and put a text link on the page to another site you have built?
To publish to a free subdomain name click on the "Publish Site" button, then click on "Choose Standard", type the domain name you would like to use into the box provided. Then, if it is available, follow the prompts until your site is published. Your site will be available immediately on the internet.
Please let me know if this doesn't answer your question and I will further assist.

Emmy replied on November 07, 2009 17:27 to the question "text color change on homepage menu." in Yola:
Hi William,
Unfortunately it is not possible at this time to edit the menu attributes such as font style, size, color etc. Are you set on the style you are using? The different various styles have different menu font colors, styles etc., possibly another one would work better with the background you are using.
The other option, as Donald mentioned, would be to create your own menu. Here is a link to a website created by Yola Champs and users with various codes you can take a look at for creating menus and other website elements: http://yolacodes.yolasite.com/.
Hope this helps!

Emmy replied on November 07, 2009 17:21 to the question "question for yola" in Yola:
Hello Adam,
This is something that we understand people would like, and it would be a really cool feature, but this type of feature will take extensive engineering time. We are working on other projects right now; but possibly in the future this is something we will be able to offer.
For the time being, there is always the option of using Google Friend Connect, we have a tutorial if you would like to take a look at it: Google Friend Connect Tutorial.
Kind Regards,
Emmy

Emmy replied on November 06, 2009 21:44 to the question "nameserver needed" in Yola:
Hello Stmr123,
If you have a domain that you have purchased elsewhere Yola does not provide you name servers as we are not the managers of your domain, we simply host your site so can only provide you with an IP address for your A Records. Your domain name registrar needs to provide you with your name servers and you then point your site to us by setting up A Records to point towards our ip address, which you said you have done.
You can keep your name servers what they are, and if your A Records are set up you should be able to publish your site to your domain name. Let us know if you have any trouble with this.
Emmy replied on November 06, 2009 21:35 to the question "can I allow others to edit a file and save it on my website?" in Yola:
Hi Bobby,
Unfortunately this would not be possible. When a person clicks on the Excel file it will open on their computer as long as they have the Excel program. But, if the person were to edit it, they could save it to their machine, but could not save the edited version to the site.
Your other option would be to allow people to download the document, edit it, then send it to you so you could replace the old one with the new one, although I am not sure if that would work for you.
Kind Regards,
Emmy

Emmy replied on November 06, 2009 18:08 to the question "FREE STYLES" in Yola:
Hi Adam, Alex and William,
We can definitely see and understand the desire for more free styles. Although the release last night involved adding more Premium Styles to the Style Library, Yola is always at work to continue to bring more free upgrades to the Site Builder, and make your site building experience better!
More good stuff to come!

Emmy replied on November 06, 2009 17:58 to the question "ads?" in Yola:
Hi Alex,
I took a look at your site and the main problem I had is that the page was quite slow to load and the video took up most of my screen so I was not able to see the bottom portion of your website (the part I am there to see) until I either close the ad or scroll down. My suggestion would be that you try to make it smaller.
I like your background!
