Hello,
Unfortunately I am not aware of a way that you can change the code of your site so that it could be used on your desktop.
You can surely use a domain purchased from Yola elsewhere if you would like, you would just need to edit the records (either A Records or Name Server Records) to point towards the hosts ip address. If this is something you would like to do please see our tutorial: Managing your domain bought from Yola.
Please let us know if you have further questions.

Hello funfairevans,
When you download your site it will be in zipped format and you can save it on a CD. However, in order to view the content of your site it needs to be uploaded to a PHP enabled server through another hosting provider.
Please note that once you download your site, you are not able to upload back into Yola's site builder. If you were wanting to view your site through Yola, then you will need to use Yola's site building tools to do so.
I am not sure whether these instructions will allow you to achieve what you had in mind. However, this is the way our site builder works. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
Kind Regards,
Emmy

Hello gfjoke,
Did someone respond to you from Yola support? I have been looking for your support ticket so that I can find out where you are with this problem. Can you tell me if you are still having the same problem and if you are working with someone from support. Thanks! – Emmy, on December 06, 2009 00:17

Hi Kendall,
I'm sorry you are having this problem. Is this happening on all your pages or just certain pages in particular? Have you tried removing the widget and re-adding it?

Hi Ruhan,
Thanks for letting us know what you are interested in seeing! It's our #1 goal to create, improve upon, maintain and support the VERY best site builder... so your input is very much appreciated.
I also think that a Tweet This button would be awesome and the ability to edit heading text would also be very cool.
I will forward these requests onto our team for consideration in future releases!

A comment on the question "Not adding pages in menu" in Yola:
Hi Glynis,
You can SEO your pages the same whether they are on the main navigation or not. What you do need to do is make sure there are links that take someone to the page that is not on the menu. The search engines follow links through a site so if there are pages that are not accessible via a link then the search engines won't be able to get to them for indexing. Hope that helps!

We received your email to support and will take a look at the problem and get back to you. I may need to speak with an engineer, so please give me a little bit of time. I am glad you are using that workaround in the meantime.
There isn't a way to reverse the order of posts on the blog, but the most recent should be the first one displayed on the page. Is that not what you are seeing? – Emmy, on December 05, 2009 01:29

I see. Can you email us at support@yola.com, I would like to have a look in your Site Builder. I believe this is a bug with adding video content in a blog post, but would like to test this in your site.
Thanks,

Emmy replied on December 05, 2009 00:54 to the question "The Yola blog NEVER works! WHY???" in Yola:
Hi,
Thanks for adding the blog page. Yes, you are right, the problem is with the video being added. I have also tested this on a test site and have the same problem occur when I add a video to a blog post.
What I see happening is that when a video is added to a blog post, it makes it not possible to click on the blog posts to edit them, or the "New Post" or "Blog Manager" buttons.
What I was able to do was click on the "Manage" button which took me into the Blog Manager where I was able to add posts and edit posts.

Can you give this a try and let me know if that works for you.
Thanks,
Emmy

Hi gfjoke,
I totally understand you are frustrated, but I have to ask that you refrain from profanity in the forum please.
I do want to help you. I have taken a look at your site and don't see that there is currently a blog on it; this is probably because it wasn't working for you so you took it off. It would be helpful for me if you would add the blog page again and add a post. I can then look closer at how it is functioning and try to troubleshoot why this is happening for you.
I do want to say that many people successfully use the blog feature, so we can help get this worked out.
Thanks,
Emmy

A comment on the question "Is my Webmaster code installed at the right place?" in Yola:
I'm sorry but I am not sure what that is referring to. It's not possible to edit the robots.txt file for a Yola site, so I am not sure how you will work with that if you have a site not built with Yola. Sorry I cannot be of more assistance with this. – Emmy, on December 04, 2009 23:56

Hi Lee,
