Enlai Chu replied on August 02, 2009 18:11 to the question "If I port my number from T mobile, how soon does my service terminate?" in 3jam:
Hello,
The number port process can take anywhere from 10 to 30 days to complete, depending on the carrier.
However, during this time, you must continue to maintain service with your carrier for the number to be ported over.
Would you be able to go on a month-to-month plan until the number is ported over? It might cost slightly more on a monthly basis but it would allow you to maintain service on the number until it is ported over.
Thanks,
The 3jam team

Enlai Chu replied on August 01, 2009 10:10 to the question "Why does this service SUCK so much??" in 3jam:
Larry,
We've checked and it looks like there may be connectivity issues affecting T-Mobile customers for sending to the virtual numbers (i.e. messages from T-Mobile phones aren't being received).
It looks like this is affecting other virtual number providers (i.e. GV as well) and we are being told this is being worked on by T-Mobile right now.
Thanks,
The 3jam team

Hi Caden,
You can port a 3jam number out, as you would with any normal phone number. Number portability is determined by the LERG (Local Exchange Routing Guide) and 3jam phone numbers are no exception. While we think you'll like our service and not want to port your number out, we won't be able to prevent you from doing so.
There are no specific clauses in 3jam's TOS saying you *can* port the number out. This isn't conventional practice. What you may see in certain cases with other services is terminology saying you *aren't* able to port numbers out. Typically, these are 800-numbers or other special situations.
To conclude, we won't stop you from porting a number out if you decide to do so.
Thanks,
The 3jam team

Enlai Chu replied on August 01, 2009 09:04 to the question "My Virtual # can't receive any SMS messages" in 3jam:
Hi Jeff,
If you have associated your mobile phone with your virtual number, sending from your phone to the virtual number won't send you a message. Only others sending to your virtual number number will send you a message.
This is because we operate on a system of "conversations", which requires two or more people. As a result, we are able to provide group conversation functionality where other virtual number SMS providers don't.
In short, this is expected behavior. :)
Thanks,
The 3jam team

Enlai Chu replied on July 31, 2009 08:09 to the question "Why can't I send this text message?" in 3jam:
Hi Brett,
Thanks for your inquiry.
Sorry if there was confusion when you purchased but I checked your account and it looks like you purchased a US SMS bucket for 400 US text messages for $5, which is the discounted rate from the a-la carte rate of $0.05 per message.
In order to send to non-US countries, you need to purchase general credit at http://3jam.com/billing.php?sAction=b... (screen shot: http://screencast.com/t/ra5VoQeOcP2 ).
Different countries have different prices for sending SMS messages (pricing table: http://www.3jam.com/prices_text.php ).
You can get a summary of the credits you have on your account page (http://3jam.com/useraccount.php ).
Hope this helps and please let us know if you have further questions.
Thanks,
Enlai

Hi Brett,
If you live outside of the US, you won't receive a verification code. Instead, you have to verify your phone by texting the word VERIFY to the number shown on the signup screen.

Enlai Chu replied on July 20, 2009 05:00 to the question "How come i paid for credits for a registration code and havent recieved it?" in 3jam:
Hi,
If you purchased the application from the 3jam website, go to http://www.3jam.com/blackberry and your code will be on the bottom left of the page when you log in.
If you purchased from BlackBerry App World, the code should have been given to you by BlackBerry App World.
In either case, if you can't find your code, simply e-mail blackberrysupport@3jam.com and we'll get it to you.
Thanks,
Enlai

Hi Sinrise,
Sorry but we are looking into the Storm issue and should have a resolution in future versions of the software.
In the meantime, if you have a BlackBerry Storm and the portrait/landscape mode does not work for you, please accept our apoologies and you can request a refund.
Thanks for your patience,
Enlai Chu
