Evan Hamilton replied on December 18, 2009 22:22 to the update "Facebook Chat Issues" in Flock:
Hey folks,
Unfortunately I don't have much of an update for you. Basically most of our resources are focused on Flock 3...and because Facebook changes their Facebook Chat code so much, the feature is very brittle. At this point the team here has opted not to fix this bug, because they expect a new one would crop up the very next week. I will keep pushing them, and keep (constructively, politely) letting me know that you desire this fix.
If you are experiencing a different issue like the corruption issue that yl61m9 mentioned, please let me know...that is not a bug we're aware of.

Evan Hamilton replied on December 16, 2009 20:10 to the question "Windows 64 bit - Where is It?" in Flock:
Hey Judy,
Thanks for the note. As much as we'd love to support every system under the sun (we love choice, and have quite an odd collection of programs ourselves), we are a small company and have limited resources for building such things. Even Mozilla, a much larger company, does not provide a 64-bit version of their browser...and as we're based on their technology, it makes little sense for us to do it.
That said, my general impression is that the 32-bit version of Flock should work fine on 64-bit Windows...I haven't heard of any specific bugs. Give it a try - it may install just fine.

Good news, folks! Your voice has been heard, and some development time has been put aside to work on the Flickr issue. So far it's looking like the bugs may have been fixed, but they're currently being QA'd so I will have a definitive answer for you (and a date for the update's release) in the next few days. Thanks for keeping the conversation constructive, and hang in there a few more days...I'll post here as soon as I have more news.

A comment on the question "Is there a beta version of flock available ?" in Flock:
Hey DJ,
There is actually a very small history context menu right below the big back buttons. Unfortunately you have to click a very specific area, but you can also right-click (or ctrl/cmd-click) to make it fly out.
Let me know if you have any other questions!

Hey Dj,
There is not a beta version of Flock available, as we're currently not doing nightly builds. However, you can sign up to be part of the Flock 3 beta at http://flock.com/node/99621

Evan Hamilton replied on December 11, 2009 22:08 to the question "Is it going to get fixed?" in Flock:
Hey Garlon,
Thanks for the note, sorry to hear that you're experiencing some issues with Photobucket and Flock.
Earlier in the week there was a breakage with our login detection which prevented Flock from activating Photobucket features in the browser. We've already rolled out a fix for this, and you should (invisibly) receive it within 24 hours. If you'd like to try forcing it now, you can do this:
1. Go to Tools>Options (Windows), Flock>Preferences (Mac) or File>Preferences (Linux)
2. Go to the Advanced section
3. Click on the Update tab
4. Click "Force Service Updates"
5. Close Preferences
6. Restart your computer
If that was not the issue, please let me know what the issue was and we'll look into it. I do not agree with Photobucket's assessment, and I'm not sure I even agree with what they are stating that Flock does - we only pull certain Photobucket functionality into the browser chrome, not "full functionality". Full functionality has always been and continues to be accessible via the Photobucket site, which works fine in Flock.
Thanks for your concern and please let me know if the above steps do not fix the issue!

Hey folks,
There are indeed currently some issues with Twitter in Flock, including:
- DMs, @Mentions and Following sections empty
- DMs, @Mentions and Following sections not updating
- Some posts missing from the People Sidebar
Our developers are currently looking into this, but the short answer is that there are some changes in the Twitter API that seem to be causing these issues. I'll post an update here as soon as I have an ETA on a fix.
Thanks so much for your patience,

Evan Hamilton replied on December 07, 2009 23:43 to the problem "Flock 2.5 startup delayed by "Migration Manager" functions" in Flock:
Hey Howard,
Thanks for the note. We all agree that wiping your profile is not an ideal fix (or even a "fix" per se), and if possible we would all love to find a fix for the issue you experienced.
However, that is very difficult...primarily because you're the only known report of this issue, and we cannot reproduce it. Much like when you take your car into the shop, if the issue you were experiencing can't be reproduced by the mechanics they're at a bit of a loss as to how to fix the issue. Since we can't reproduce the issue here and see exactly what is happening, we can't fix it.
And in fact, this may not be a bug so much as an issue specific to your installation - often there can be specific conflicts on an Operating System or corruption in your profile that crops up as a totally unique bug.
So - if we can reproduce this issue and/or hear of it from a bunch of other people, we will absolutely work to solve the issue. Unfortunately there's not much we can do until then. :\
Thanks for your patience, and I hope the rest of your browsing with Flock is problem-free!

Evan Hamilton replied on December 07, 2009 23:34 to the idea "Multi-touch gestures are not suppored, why?" in Flock:
Hey Nick,
Thanks for the note! The reason we don't currently support multi-touch functions is because these only started being supported in Firefox 3.5. We're still based off of Firefox 3.0, hence the lack of multi-touch. As soon as we move to Firefox 3.5, we should have multi-touch!

Hey Proggie,
That's my understanding as well, though I have seen it behave differently. Have you tried clicking the "Remember Me" checkbox on Facebook when logging in? Not positive that'd do it, but worth a try. – Evan Hamilton, on December 01, 2009 19:52
