That's sad. I want a small bag, but like the look of the Metro much better than the Click. I'm sure you guys have also seen the Click reviews comparing it as inferior to the Metro.

I asked something similar before. Apparently the fabric is water-resistant, but it doesn't have the waterproof liner of the messengers. So probably some water will seep through in a storm.

If you ask the distributor where to buy they'll give you address of the retailers, but maybe you can ask about custom orders. I heard that Fall Factor at Queensway takes custom orders, but that was quite some time ago when Timbuk2 put the retailer addresses on the website rather than the distributor for Singapore. No harm trying though.

Maybe you can try combining an order with some others. I believe some Singaporeans did the same thing some time ago. Otherwise you can maybe approach the distributor to see if they have what you want or can bring in a custom order for you.

Sounds like you mean the cross strap. Like the one going around the chest as seen at http://www.timbuk2.com/tb2/cms/popup/... It'll say if its included in the Product Features on the page.

I guess you could build a large messenger with a laptop insert and grab strap. For the medium it'll come to the same as a custom medium laptop messenger. Not too sure how different they are, but I think its in terms of padding for the back.

In Singapore you can send it to the distributor. I asked them before if they honor the warranty, and they said they'll replace the bag if it falls under warranty(not due to wear & tear). When I bought my bag from Fall Factor, they told me that any place that sells Timbuk2 will replace it if any problems arise. Not too sure about that, but wherever you bought it from will probably replace it if you have a receipt. If not, the distributor should deal with it.

Also note that some non-custom bags are made in SF as stated on the website, but only if you purchase it from the timbuk2 website directly(e.g. codura). The 'same' bag bought from a retailer will be made in Asia, as I found out when I bought mine locally.

Has Rickshaw bags started making this? The website won't load for me... Sounds pretty cool anyway. There are a lot of moleskins and other similar notebooks out there though, and lots of people who buy good covers for them.
