James W asked a question in Postbox, Inc. on July 28, 2009 17:43:
Thunderbird feature comparison? Are there plans to make a feature comparison? Many of us are on the fence about buying and not sure if Postbox is that much better than Thunderbird or if it just looks pretty. With Postbox and Thunderbird using much of the same code, I would think distinguishing Postbox would be a primary goal for anyone interested in sales.
Many of the features shown on the Postbox website are part of Thunderbird 3, yet there are some things hidden in Postbox that one may not even know about, such as Twitter integration.-

James W replied on July 24, 2009 18:43 to the question "Save remote images with message" in Postbox, Inc.:
I was trying to add an image to my signature that would load from the web. However Postbox converts all image links into attachments. I don't want every single email I send to have an attachment, there must be some way around this.
Maybe I'll have to use css background-image which is only supported in some clients.-

A comment on the idea "Saved searches in left sidebar" in atebits:
This layout could work for grouping people too, instead of taking over the sidebar. Nice work! – James W, on April 21, 2009 04:41

James W replied on April 21, 2009 03:29 to the idea "Groups" in atebits:
I would love groups, but I know it would be a bunch of work. Its not just adding some tabs, its making a screen to manage groups and who belongs to each group. There's always little things that get in the way too, like dealing with name changes that occur on Twitter, or what to do when a bunch of groups have been added to the sidebar and they don't fit. A lot of features are like icebergs. We think of the small result we want, and then find out all the other little things that have to be addressed to accomplish it.
I've had to setup a separate account in the mean time just to separate out real friends from interests, but I really hope we get groups.-
