I was playing with Digsby tonight and lo and behold there was the Ping.fm bot. Yay. -

I use WLM 8.5, Digsby, Pidgin and AdiumX on 3 different machines... and have tried this on each of them, no joy. -

Windows Live Messenger bot not respondingI can't seem to get the WLM bot to veryify/respond. Here's what I'm doing:
1. add "pingdotfm@live.com" as a contact
2. go to actions > send an instant message
3. put in "pingdotfm@live.com" in the search box and choose the result as my recipiant
4. a window opens but says recipiant is offline and will receive messages when they come online
5. paste in my verify code and send it
6. nothing... :(
I've also tried emailing "pingdotfm@live.com" with my verification code, no joy.
The instructions on the Ping.Fm dashboard for Windows Live Messenger are pretty vague, so once I've worked out what it is I'm doing wrong - assuming its not me being completely dumb - can I suggest someone re-write the instuctions. ;)
