gary started following the idea "Units for gas usage should be MCF (thousand cubic feet)" in Microsoft Hohm.

Indeed, great ideas for the future. I also would like to see the ability to put in more detail of my energy use. EnerGuide info from appliances would be a good one. Maybe one day there could be a way to incorporate live electricity usage from the meter, using wireless devices attached to the meter like the ones that can report to a base station.

Thank you Karen!
I really appreciate your reply. I love the site and look forward to new functionality. 30-90 days for updates is great. Expanding into our climate will require some changes indeed, so I will watch for that in the future. Maybe we will be able to enter EnerGuide data from our appliances one day to make things even more accurate?

I was forced to enter the zip code of the nearest border town (Pembina) in the US that closely matches our (crappy) weather patterns.
This allows you to get into the ballpark, but it would also be nice to get our electricity and gas providers on board.
I wonder though how much energy (pardon the pun) Microsoft is putting into this project though. When they say they are working on it for a next release, are we talking about the release timeline of Office 11 to Office 12...MSN search to bing?
How many programmers work on this little not-for-profit endeavor?-
