None of the widgets I tried here worked for me. They either did not show, their processes crashed, or they stopped me from booting properly.

Just a comment: That's not a problem for me. I'm in a HomeGroup at the moment, and I got no problems. However, the problem may have been on the network. – gdude2002, on July 21, 2009 10:28

It could possibly be that there are programs set to a higher priority than BumpTop is. You can check (If you haven't already) in the Processes tab in the Task Manager. Maybe you could try setting Bumptop higher or other programs lower. – gdude2002, on July 15, 2009 20:22

Well, all a drive really is is a virtual folder, I guess.
Have you tried setting the compatibility mode so that it runs as administrator? Is UAC on? Are you on an x64 or x86 machine? – gdude2002, on July 15, 2009 20:10

njaranges94's reply to "Able to play videos without leaving your desktop?" was just promoted to the most useful! gdude2002 and 2 other people think it's one of the best replies.

this is a fantastic idea. An extension of this could be making it very large and hanging it on the back wall, making it almost like a movie theater. If also wanted there should be be an option that lets you darken the desktop, to see it better.

Alright, that's the same as me. Do you have a lot of programs running on startup? You can type "msconfig" into the start menu to disable anything you don't need. – gdude2002, on July 15, 2009 17:26

Don't forget that some (much older) graphics cards won't be able to handle BT.

I think the OS Shortcut integration is a nice idea but shouldn't be Pro only. Seems like a necessity really.
