You don't actually need to enter in a diamond symbol - all you need to do is enter in the word itself. To enter multiple letters into a single square, simply tap and hold on the square, then (while still holding down on square) tap the magnified section with a second finger.

The Herald just redesigned their site and moved their crossword section, which caused a few problems with Crosswords. The good news is that we've fixed Herald downloading, plus they're including solutions with the puzzles again. You should be able to download new Herald puzzles immediately (including ones that didn't download earlier this week).

We've officially added Guardian (and Observer) crosswords to Crosswords for iPhone! You should be able to download them in the current version of the program, if you have it installed.

The Herald removed solution availability from their puzzle, which has caused problems in retrieving the cryptic. It should return shortly, albeit without support for solution verification or leaderboards.

Unfortunately we jumped the gun a bit with the FAQ: Guardian support will be available in the upcoming v.1.71 release, but it's not available in the current release. My apologies for the confusion!

What type of Treo are you using? Please note that there are known problems with Pinochle on Palm OS 5.x handhelds, and we do not recommend using it on those handhelds.
